Cool glad to see you started one of these. Really like the face of the guy looking down in the first one.

Yeah, well how many times have you busted my chops for not drawing the head correctly in perspective.

It's been so long since I've updated this that my old pictures are gone since I've changed my web hosting. I'll see if I can find them and upload them again.

Speedpaints and sketchbook pages, oh no!

Few sketchbook pages I filled out while watching my Clemson Tigers loose to Wake Forest. I actually glad. I'm so on the fire Tommy Bowden band wagon.

Nice work with the Gregory Peck sketches. Instantly reminded me of Mazzuchelli's sketches for Batman Year One.

As mush as some artists tend to hate it, repetition is a key to learning especially when drawing from memory. I read somewhere that drawing something 18 times is the magic number to learning it.

I have to thank the wonderful George Bridgemen for the reference.

cool sketch book pieces! the ogre and spaceman pages have a nice subject contrast. the fist pages are cool and thanks for the tip about repetition.
Here's a madding question about that quote though. Did the person quoted say that one had to draw it "right " all 18 times? If so i might end up with 1800.

1peace- Most times for me it's drawing from reference until you figure out that it's right. You don't want to re-enforce bad habits. That hand I did was referenced from George Bridgeman.

Macksamillyon - Thanks. Yeah, you're right except since it's the Hulk he'd need about a dozen love slaves. Takes a lot to sassify da Hulk!

I like that gorilla one. I think you're linework is okay but you're shading is greeeeeeeat at creating shapes. When I say okay I just mean the painty stuff is much much better that the linework looks only average in comparison.
