Nice literacysuks1 I really like your idea for the feet, and what a great way to get us started this week.

Oh dear...I did not read the robot part. I just saw Juan draw a chickie. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t253/everdri/wingedhumanoid.jpg

And he who participates should draw a winged humanoid robot and not a chick in armor with wings :p

Now now everybody chill out. I will be posting mine later tonight after work, and yes I do try and lead by example that's why I posted twice in the challenge last week.

Anyway getting off topic here, great stuff so far guys and Greendri don't sweat it your post sketch looks great, this week's topic is pretty open ended.

I don't know who's riled up? Juan made a fair comment and we are expecting a good response from you, Manji. I think this is a brilliant idea and is similar to the draw offs except without the polls. You get props for the idea.

Literacy, I thought it was Archangel at first and I dig the concept design.

Juan, I suspected the character Eve was a robot. Never read the book though. She's so purdy. Kind of like a Michael Turner face but proportionate.

Cool design and a nice quick sketch although we can't see the front. If you can do a front view too, that'll be good.

The term humanoid I've always considered half robot or artificial, so that's why I made my character organic but with exposed circuitry and cable-like tech protruding from her artificial body. So I aint sweating it, Manji.:) Just thought I'd note Juan is a bit of a trendsetter and his sketch triggered my response to the topic.

I'm not a trendsetter...truth be told, I'm just another wannabe who dreams of making it. That's why I'm really trying to buckle down this year and get some stuff done by the time Wizard World Chicago rolls around. I still have a long ways to go (artwise), but anything that helps get the creative juices flowing every day is always a blessing. When I saw Manji post this last night, it gave me inspiration to get up this morning and get going on the artwork. I hope he continues these weekly sketch threads for many many months to come. :)

Bah...it's all good everyone is just playing around Greendri, and Juan glad this got you juices going. I really am because that is what I was hoping this thread would accomplish. And yes I hope we keep Weekly sketch group going for a long time. I'll post mine later tonight...I'm stuck here at work until 11.

Seems like a very limiting theme, but I'll try to get one in tonight. Try keeping the subject a bit less restrictive Manji. Not so many adjectives, haha. You should have people pm you suggestions.

I took some inspiration from literacysuks1's feet from his first drawing.

Manji, nice job making the wings look mechanical, and yet birdlike at the same time. I tried to do something like that and failed, so I just went with the normal wings. :)

That's the beauty of it all...it doesn't matter! Just as long as everyone start pushing their pencil.

Whoa! Xadrian posted! Juan popped in too, I am so thrilled to see the participation. I'm going to start talking in my Stan Lee voice soon and saying "true believer".

Sorry I didn't get alot of sleep last night so uh...yeah. :o

A quick sketch with a little blending tool.

A little cartoony, though.

I've been reading too much Powers.
