I had a thread about the little sketches, cartoons and photo-manips I had done for a group I'm in at Flickr, but I've since changed web sites so all the links were bad. So I'm starting over. Some of these aren't drawings, they're just photoshoped images or something created from an online generator, but they'll be posted here non-the-less.

Also, we started a new group, the 700 Zombies. I'm writing the names for them all, so eventually I'll put zombie doodles here as well. No idea when I'll get back to traditional comic book art, but oh well.

These aren't meant to be great drawings, just fun things, but by all means, please critique, overlay, steal, chew, shimmy, reupholster, or douse as you see fit. Thank you.

Exactly. In Hodgman's book he makes a bunch of nonsensical ones too that are pretty funny. An example would be "The Sheriff in this town has throwing stars."

Change of pace, some robot portraits. Some quick 10-20 mins marker sketches based off photos from my contacts. These are a bit different because I'm trying to do as little presketching as possible. You can probably see a really light yellow line in some, I was using a highlighter to get a basic figure down, but then all the line work was straight brush pen and micron. Makes you really think about what is drawn first.

He's an acquired taste, that's for sure. They're not page turners. The later stories are better, the Foundation stuff. The even later Foundation novels by Greg Bear and David Brin are easier to read.

My favorite book is Treasure Island. I'm not much of a novel person, I like cartoons and fantasy books. I tried reading Red Storm Rising, but the book was so dry I couldn't get far past the first chapter.

Yeah, if you go here (http://robotportrait.blogspot.com) you can see that's the idea. I get photos of people and then robotize them. I need to change the movies up to include the original photo. Two of these didn't come with photos, they just asked for a theme. I have a couple buddies doing this with hoboes, monsters and fairy tales. They've already done over 200 each in about the same time I've done these. I don't understand the popularity factor, but I guess it just hasn't caught on. I'll be doing more this weekend for fun.

Yeah, X-Brawn was the only one I could find in a list of fictional robots. I'm sure there are others, but I couldn't find any. Z wasn't easy either.
