has a comic book movie ever influence you in buying a comic or comic related product.

Hellboy the movie made me pick up the trades to find out whats the hubbub before the movie showed up.
Fantastic Four 2 just convinced me to buy Silver Surfer Essential Vol 1.

The first batman movie made me buy a batman symbol tshirt.
I did get suckered in buying a Logan fig in the first Xmen movie. And a spiderman 1 super poseable figure from the first movie.

Batman begins. i got the batman begins batmobile diecast hotwheels the bigger version.

I'll admit, the LXG movie got me curious about the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, if ONLY to see how much they butchered the original material. And, MAN, they did a number on it.

Didn't get me too interested in the series, though. I ended up not being a fan either way.

I checked out History of Violence and Road to Perdition after watching the movies.

when i was a lil kid i think the first batman movie inspired me to check out the dark knight returns

i also checked out issues of the mask and the crow after those movies, don't think i ever actually bought any of them though

Hellboy, definitely. I didn't read it before the movie came out, and I wanted to see the movie. So, I figured I should pick some up before then, and man, it converted me to a fan real damn quick.

Same for V for Vendetta. I went a long time without reading it, and before the movie came out I figured I oughta.

I'm very easily influenced, it seems.

Same for V and LXG for me, i went and (finally) bought the TPBs afterwards. I salute Moore's encyclopedic research skills as far as LXG is concerned. VERY impressive.

The only one that did it for me was Sin City. I had read a single issue before but the movie got me to buy a trade.

i bought the first 3 sin city trades right before the movie came out. and i think i bought the crow trade after that movie came out.

I had read Ghost World before seeing the movie, but bought it after.

I'd read Ghost World before and didn't enjoy it as much as the movie. I started reading Eightball and other Clowes books after.

Yeah, same here. I thought the Ghost World movie was much better.

Okay, so the Sin City movie also made me buy the books.

Jesus, I really am a consumer whore.

I bought all the Sin City books after the movie came out and I just recently bought 300 cause the movie looked so bad ass.

I bought the Crow graphic novel after watching the movie. Wasn't to fond of James O bar or the graphic novel tho.

I remeber reading that graphic when I was a kid. Probably a couple of years before the movie came out. Talk about wallowing in tradgedy and melodrama. I came away from that thing depressed.

What he said. I wasn't a Hellboy fan before the movie but now... Man, I LOVE anything Mignola and/or Hellboy.

I picked up V for the same reason as Think Tank Bob.
