To all who are interested:
Hello PJ boys an girls. I'm a relatively new member to this forum, so likely, few of you know me or are aware of any of my abilities unless you have read my thread in the writing section. To my friends, I am known as Raze, as it was the first online name I ever took, though you could address me as Matthew, or simply as Matt at your leisure.
Recently, I got it into my head that I would like to write comics, either for a living or as a hobby. For the past three years of my life, I've juggled several character concepts, plot lines, twists and turns, and clawed my way to an acceptable writing level. I'm almost ready to put out my first script of my story, Dark to Dark; "The Crimson War", but I have run into an obstacle, and that obstacle is the fact that I cannot find an artist.
The artist should be prepared to draw rather violent and gruesome scenes. While it's nothing too gory (such as guts spilling out, or people getting ripped in half), there will be blood, torture, and all-around disturbing scenes. He/she could be willing and able to draw a superhero story in complicated scenes, or in a manga-esque style. The books, from start to finish, will be approximately 20-30 pages, and will be scripted to a detailed level, though the artist will be granted a great deal of freedom and personal expression.
In addition to an artist, if a co-writer (perhaps for dialogue, an editor, or equal partner) would be interested in assisting with my project, I encourage any and all willing participants to step forward. However, I do request that, once you step forward, you stick with the story until the completion of an individual story-arc. Any and all examples of your work would be greatly appreciated, and will help me with my decision.
Post here in this thread, or PM me with a response. Either way, I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best.
