UFC or PRIDE

I keep hearing that they got better fighters in PRIDE. Is this true? Or does the difference in rules make the difference?

I've heard the same thing. Having watched Fedor obliterate Mark Coleman in Pride, and then watching Tim Silvia 'defend' his title vs. Monson in UFC, it looks like Pride definitely has better heavyweight talent, at least for the champions. Fedor is scary.

Mirko Crokop is incredible. and everytime anyone from UFC fights in pride they get stomped. Shamrock threw in the towel, literally!!! when he fought in Pride. Don Fry is an amazing spectacle. Rampage Jackson outboxed Chuck Lidell. Pride definitely has better fighters.

In Pride they cant elbow or headbutt. But they dont allow so much mat wrestling. If your inactive for about 30 seconds they stand you up.

Different rules aside, PRIDE's roster of world class fighters are deeper.

UFC's Welterweight is pretty deep with good fighters and their new Lightweight division is shaping up nicely, but ALL of PRIDE's weightclass is deep and littered with top fighters.

PLUS in PRIDE they allow foot stomping to the head, so fighters don't necessarily just lay down and wait for the opponent to get in their guard.

Pride...it manages to limit the ass grabing grappling.

Grappling is the best part! If you understand it at least.
If you ever done juijitsu, judo or even wrestling, you
can pick up on the transitions.

Ohhh yeah, I like watching UFC cause its easier to really
follow and keep up with the league but Pride has alot of
great talent. UFC though seems to be recruiting from Pride's
best, they already got Crocop, its just a matter of time
before UFC gets the best talent.

By the way I have friend
that I used to train with that might be in the next
Ultimate Fighter TV Series. His already made the
alternates and now just waits to see if his been
casted :)
