I know it's become pretty popular, but for those who aren't familiar with NaNoWriMo, or "National Novel Writing Month," it's a communal activity in which contestants attempt to start and finish a 100,000 word novel in a single month. Well, I decided to scrap my plans for that contest this year and transmute the idea into a comics project instead.
The only goal I've really set for myself is a single multimedia panel a day, so the narrative may or may not end up making a lot of sense in the end. This is an exercise that is very much a product of being "in the moment," so I'm not planning ahead at all. Also, expect plenty of change-ups with regard to style and tone. Sometimes I use reference, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I spend a lot of time on the panel, sometimes I kick it out pretty fast. Sometimes it's all digital, sometimes not. I'm basically doing this just to limber up and have some fun between comics projects.
I've blurred out some swears so that I don't violate PJ's terms of use, but if anybody is really curious about the uncensored version, you can check it out on my DevArt page. I totally appreciate any feedback you might care to give me! Thanks for looking!
