I've decided to keep tis one simple cause the more elaborate battles I post tend to...suck.

My money is on wolverine cause he's got the smell.
Predator won't creep up on him.

The problem with Wolverine vs anyone is that it's the same as Superman vs anyone.

The other problem is (unlike Superman) Wolverine has no real weakness to speak of.

The Predator would take ages to sneak up on him, grab his neck and then would get his head slashed off.

this isnt even a fair fight to begin with, no matter what predator does, wolverine will heal.

Yeah after re-watching Predator 2 this past weekend I realized just how sucky Predators really are. Wolverine wins no contest.

Here's a hypothetical question for you: if Predator were to lop Wolverine's head off and put it on a pike, and then Wolverine's body grew back, would he have a pike up his ass?

Wolverines old body beats new body and retrieves his head, its laced with adamantium while the other one isn't. Then old Wolvie goes and kills predator. But wait! New wolverine is still alive, he gets a cyborg head! Then new wolverine gets an ongoing and joins all the x-teams old wolverine isn't on.......I should totally work at marvel >_>

That's the problem with a character who is nearly immortal.
At least if it were Manji from Blade of the Immortal, he takes time to heal, and when he's sliced he actually feels the pain.
As far as Wolverine vs. Predator...
What makes Predator what they are is honed skill, not powers.
The entire culture is about the hunt. That's what they do.
Wolverine is a super-hero. With super powers.
he has an unbreakable skeleton, diamond sharp (yes diamond, razors don't cut what Wolverine cuts) claws, senses stronger than most animals, and the ability to heal from pretty much anything.
Yeah... ok.
At least with Danny Glover, it was all about skill :P

But he can't cut his head off because his skull is indestructable metal, thus ending that debate.

It would just end up with Predator having a big comedy hand throbbing in pain.

Wolverine is like the popular kid in school who was actually a complete bunce, while Nightcrawler and the rest of them sit in the corner next to the vending machine.

I wouldn't creep up on any foul smelling character either.
I dunno. Some electrical thingamajigs, instant peeling of the skin and voila - a metal Canadian paperweight!

Hey, if Ultimate Hulk can literally tear him in half, I am willing to entertain the notion that his head can come off somehow. ;)

1. This is why Manji is awesome and superior to Wolverine. There is healing but with a price not just some nearly invincible Canadian who is "tough". Tough to me is someone who can take a shot with consquences.

2. Just take Predator 2 totally (and I mean totally) out of your mind

3. Predator would get in some shots, if for no other reason, because Wolverine is the 'Rocky' of comics.

4. Predator wins just because I have hope and I am sick of wolverine.

but what if he didnt give him time to heal? heat vision, lasers....itd be an interesting fight, but manji would lose.

I say Predator
My reason is simple. I hate wolverine.
Its like at school when young kids play at the playground and one says to the other "I shot you with my laser!!" and the other kid says " Well I have a laser forcefield so your laser cant hurt me!!" and the other kid retorts with " Oh yeah, well I'm stabbing you with my lightsaber!!" and the kid again answers with " My skin cant be cut so your lightsaber cant hurt me!!"

THATS WOLVERINE!!! He's that annoying kid that no one ends up wanting to play with cause he makes up the rules as he goes and does it very cheaply.

It can be a cool fight but it depends on the Predator. Some are more skilled than others and so far the most skilled hunter came out in AvP2.

I too have pondered this. If his head was blown to smithereens would the body grow a new head or is the brain the necessary component for all of his regenerative purposes.

i think the better 'what if' is the alien story line, not the predator. what if a face hugger got on wolverine? would his healing factor not allow the alien to grow? or would it grow... but not be able to break through his chest? eventually i think the alien would go through the stomach.
that would be a neat-o story arc. wolverine fighting an alien with healing factor... since, it seems that the aliens take on aspects of their hosts. the ending would suck though... logan and the alien will find mutual respect for one another and become drinking buddies... damn vs. crossovers...

Actually, that's kind of already been done. Wolverine was once Infected by the Brood and his healing factor ended up purging it from his body.

Wolvie. Enhanced sense of smell and healing factor. I'd like to see them go toe to toe, claws versus wrist blades, though.

Wolverine would destroy a predator.
Wolverine can survive a shotgun blast to the face. Wolverine has had all of his flesh and organs incinerated, leaving nothing but a skeleton, and come back to talk about it. It doesn't matter if that's stupid, as it most definitely is. But Logan's done it.

A Predator has neon blood. No one cares.
