I'm counting superhero movies after the superhero movie wave
spiderman 1 created. So no old batman movies and such.

Here's mine (number one is crapiest):

1.Daredevil
2.Elektra
3.Fantastic four
4.The punisher
5.Hellboy

You don't have to have 5 movies, if you find more movies to suck then put more, if the contrary then put less.

Punisher (dolph)
Daredevil

xadrian
08-01-2006, 03:54 PM
That he did, I apparently have to brush up on remedial reading.

Still, bad movies since Spidey 1? I don't think there were 10 movies period since then. Comic book wise.

How about Comic Book, The Movie?

Karim
08-01-2006, 04:22 PM
Oh yeah aeon flux is really bad I didn't know it was a comicbook movie otherwise sure would have put it up my list

theycallmemisterbob

Punisher- the Dolph one
Fantastic Four - everything that didnt have Jessica could have been cut.
X-Men 3
Hulk
Nick Fury - the Hasselhoff TV movie.

What's the common thread to this list of crappy-ass movies? THEY'RE ALL MARVEL!

theycallmemisterbob

Honorable mentions: crap that is NOT Marvel

Spawn - not counting Leguizamo.
Batman - the Clooney one.

There's only two films that totally disappointed me post Spider-Man.

Fantastic Four
I finally just watched a couple of weeks ago. I knew I would hate it, and I did.
The Punisher
This had potential to be such a good film, but it was an incredibly large turd.

xadrian

The problem with this Post Spiderman 1 list is you're giving us 5 chances to pick comic movies that sucked in the last 4 years.

Here's all the movies, comic related or based directly off comics, that I could find from the past 4 years:

Aeon Flux
Alien vs. Predator
American Splendor
Batman Begins
Blade (Blade II, Blade III)
Bulletproof Monk
Catwoman
Comic Book: The Movie
Constantine
Crow: Wicked Prayer (DVD)
Daredevil
Elektra
Fantastic Four
Hellboy
History of Violence
Hulk
Men In Black II
Punisher
Sin City
Spider Man 2
Superman Returns
The Incredibles (not based on a comic book, but still super heroes.)
V for Vendetta
X-Men 2, 3
Mask of Zorro (yes, Zorro was a comic book.)

So by reading back here, it's safe to say the only movies that didn't suck were, Spiderman 1 and 2, The Incredibles, American Spledor and V for Vendetta. Of course, I may have missed some movies. (http://www.imdb.com/keyword/based-on-comic-book/?sort=date)

Sound about right?

I choose to have the after spiderman 1 movies cuz it created a mode. After this movie there has been familiy superhero movies (sky high, zoom wich is coming soon) superhero date films; my super ex girlfriend...
I just randomly choose to limit it to that, also I thought that otherwise there would be too much, but doesn't matter post what you want.

Oh my, I also forgot about Catwoman because it sucked so much, surprising how I forget crapy movies even when I focus to find wich crapy movies I disliked.

WillTurner

Batman And Robin
League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen
(In my opinion) Blade 2
Spawn

Yet to see Electra, Blade 3, Catwoman, Fantastic Four (or Ghost Rider come to that) because I try to avoid films I don't want to see!

Spawn

Yet to see Electra, Blade 3, Catwoman, Fantastic Four (or Ghost Rider come to that) because I try to avoid films I don't want to see!

If you didn't like Blade 2 which I do like, give Blade 3 a wide birth. Blade 3 is like a steaming lump of turd which has been slipped into your pillow without you knowing. You think all is well, then you go to bed and SPLETCH! Its a film that detracts from the ones that have gone before it. It's so bad...

Bugger, I forgot The Hulk. What a load of pretentious arse.

Eric Bana was brilliant in Munich, but not even he can flesh out a one dimensional character surrounded by an even blander supporting cast.

And as much as Ang Lee's poetic, graceful style was key to Crouching Tiger's crossover success, that combined with the irritating novelty "comic book" editing, topped up with a stupidly excessive running time serve as a reminder that going against convention isn't always a good idea.

Sorry, xadrian. Alan Moore's stories need to stay in comics and not become movies. You can toss all the A-list talent at it all you want, it just won't live up to the source material. At all.

When I first viewed V for Vendetta, it wasn't.....HALF bad. But after I saw it the second time....I just didn't like it. At all. I found it dull and uninspiring. When I first heard about the movie being made, the first thought that went into my head was "....huh? How're they gonna do this?" followed by "Dear god why the Wachowski bros?"

The comic book movies I thought were bad post Spiderman 1 are,
Daredevil
Punisher
League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen

I luckly have never seen Catwoman, Electra, Fantastic Four, or the Incredible Hulk. I am sure at least a few of those movies would be on my list, had I seen them.

Batman Forever would be my pick for the all time worst comic book movie ever made.

OK OK POST spiderman. ummm. errr.. I'd have to say Catwoman was worst.. though it was almost worth the money to see Halle Berry in that outfit.

Second worse- FF. Man - what a disappointment THAT was.

The Hulk was too art film for me. The effects were nice but they could have amped it up a bit.

Jamin
08-07-2006, 12:58 AM
1.)Hulk (When the star of the movie doesn't think there should be a sequal...)
2.)Catwoman (gets second worst and not first cuz... well, Halle Barry in a kitty costume)
3.)Elektra (though Jennifer G. is a hotty in it. and the villains were the only decent part of the movie)
4.)punisher (though I could stand watching it again if it ever popped up on the tele.)
5.) F.F. (the guy that played Reed wasn't very convincing)

Jamin
08-07-2006, 06:49 PM
I thought of two other movies that make Punisher and FF look like works of art!
Here's my revision:
1.) Man-thing (which went straight sci-fi... Nuff said)
2.) Hulk
3.) BloodRayne (worst directed comic Movie)
4.) Catwoman
5.) Elektra

Worst movie of all time, not post spider-man,
Nick Fury (Hasselhoff)

Hulk was really, really bad, Ang Lee.......NO!.
SUPERMAN #1,2,3 and Returns, dont care who thinks it wasn't

Come on people I dont think anyones mentioned these and I stunned.

1. BATMAN & ROBIN !!!!!!!!

2. Electra

3. Judge Dredd

4. Daredevil

5. X-Men 3

I remember feeling like crying after watching Batman and Robin.

The best comic book movie in my opinion. although not much like the comic was

THE CROW!!!

yeah!!!

WillTurner
09-21-2006, 12:32 AM
Judge Dredd is undoubtedly bad, but you still can't help but laugh at Sly Stallone mumbling "Iamthelaw!"

Bruce Lee
09-23-2006, 06:48 AM
1) Hulk--biggest disappointment EVER! Stan Lee--NOT Ang Lee!
2) Fantastic Four-- Metrosexual Doom! Idiot Reed! Alba "NO--Let's!"
3) X-Men. All of these suck. Biker/village people mutant crybaby losers. Absolutely overrated movies.
4) Daredevil. AFFFFFFFFLLLECCCKKK! Playground scene says it all.
5) Batman Begins. Not the worst movie in the world, but a HUGE disappointment to me in hindsight. Pretty dull movie. Missed the mark on Batman, anyway. Batman's costume also sucked hard. Timex-girly batbelt, horrible helmet/mask, goofy ninja armguards, and a cookie monster batvoice. Plus, a sh!tty batmobile to boot! Yaaay! Pretty 'tarded. At least Commissioner Gordon was good.

Give me movies like the Spider-Man flicks or the Rocketeer over these miserable examples of Hollywood dreck.

Anyone mention the 80's Captain America movie?

WillTurner
09-27-2006, 01:06 AM
Bruce- Respectfully I must disagree. That film had the best cast, the best script and (if you look at the DVD extras) the most attention to detail ever.

If you don't like it, fair enough. But in no way can that film be lumped in with a lot of the aforementioned bumguff in this topic.

JPJ
09-27-2006, 02:24 PM
Batman Begins, to me, was...perfect. We've never looked at the actual training that Bruce Wayne went through and to say that it was that bad shocks me. But hey...to each his own.

Oh no, I wasn't saying he wasn't entitled to opinion. But from what was said that doesn't really put it in the "worst" category.

Sure it can. I just did that, and it was all because I had high expectations for that movie, and it SERIOUSLY let me down. I don't mind that you liked it though--I'm glad you did. I suppose we're just different people in that regards, with varying mileage, interests and backgrounds. :o Doesn't mean I can't have a totally different opinion though. heh.

There's a reason a lot of these movies weren't mentioned. Read the original criteria in the first post, dude:

You want to look for the pre-movie comics, not the ones from DC, but the ones from Fleetway, then you will know what I mean.
