Art of Drowning,
thanks for the nice words. The pilot sketches were done for the DDP talentsearch script called "drafted". Funny thing is i actually drew one of them on a piece of crappy paper and it turned out quiet well, so I traced it via lightbox and used it fora sequential.

These are some sketches I did while I was riding the train. I have to travel 2 or 3 times a week from Bielefeld to Münster which makes 3hrs everytime. Sometimes I sleep during the trip but most of the time Im drawing into my sketchbook. Thats why I gave my sketchbook the name "Train-Ing"...
Its the first time I keep up drawing in a sketchbook, before I bought this sketchbook I used to draw on lose sheets of printingpaper.

Good Knowledge of Anatomy, although Conan's left upper arm right under the triceps looks a little thin :confused: maybe, I dont know but legs look a little short too but thats just nitpicking.

hey greendri,
if you have a look on the previous pages of the sketchblog, youll see some sketches that are a bit more fleshed out, but i have to say I usually keep my sketches raw, because most of them are just warm ups. According to the form I have to say youre right. So many people told me to work on that but I either dont understand it or im not able to learn it :D

glad you like the conan pics. conan is always a little bit hard to draw for me, because hes supposed to be strong and bulky but also fast and deadly. I dont know to which conan pic youre refering but (when you speak of his left arm) but i guess its the one where he swings the sword...the legs are short and a little bit off, i guess i was trying to get them on the piece of paper, seems like it didnt work :)
However glad youve enjoyed them.

Gman, thanks, Im glad to hear that you enjoy the inking work too. Although im new to inking my art i start feeling more and more confident with it.

Mike, Im not sure but maybe thats because of the thousends of lines I draw while im drawing. sometimes sketches go down very fast and sometimes it takes me forever to do them. after i finish them i erase the millions and billions of lines that show all the mistakes I do while im drawing that surround the drawing. Thanks and Im glad to see that more people start enjoying my work too :)

It's incredible how much your sequentials have improved since the Spidey vs. Goblin pages you posted last year. I'm glad to see that you stuck with your individual style and continue to perfect it. thanks for the great feedback. In the year between the Spiderman Pages and these samples I wasnt able to draw many sequentials (for different reasons) but I was steadily drawing sketches and stuff, that really helped me to improve drawing and to find my "own" style. Actually the only reason why I havent been drawing women lately was, that in all the stories that I did was a lack of women apperances, thats actually the only reason. I promise next time ill be here therell be some more girls :)

That's a massive sketch dump, man. Not that I'm complaining. You've gone insanely good and I really dig the loose sketches you are coming up with. Bats looks kick ass as do your versions of Punisher.
