Which is more bizarre: that someone thought of making/selling these, or that people apparently want to pay hundreds of dollars for them?

Ah, come on. This looks way better than the stuff they sell at the store. THOSE are the ones that creep me out because, since they lack the detail this lady gives them, they look like dead babies. This one just looks like a sleeping one.
It's just another hobby. And if you're a doll collector and you see dollmaking as an art, I can see why someone would pay hundreds of dollars for one. I mean, aren't there some folks in this forum that pay hundreds of dollars for original art?

That was my first thought - Johnny Knoxville would have got some great mileage out of this thing.

That's why I'd buy it. Just ship it in a box to someone...just out of the blue. Have to fit a nannycam in there...have to get the reaction on video...and then on youtube.

Me likes. This thing could be used for Movie and TV props instead of the dolls they use now. As long as the thing is the same weight as it's supposed age. You can always tell on tv they are carrying a plastic doll. It looks weightless.

It's wrong, but that made me laugh out loud. How long do you think it would take before the cops were kicking down your door?

Maybe when it quickly turned into the after effects of a pillow fight!

yeah I was excepting real dolls too.
I can appreciate the skills and effort put into it too make it look real, but it's pretty creepy to me too.
I think it comes from the flowers and gradient contour and the overall display, also the wet hairs shot is eeeew

don't leave them near the radiator...

I didn't think much of them. Just a lump of wax with strands of hair pinned to it.
Makes me think of Eddie Izzard tho and his bit with babies on spikes from ranting on about the American dream and career advisors... that was hilarious! "I'm crazy Ed. I put babies on spikes. You want babies on racks? We've got babies on racks!" (Dress to Kill)

damn is that thing weird, i guess the key demographic are women with barren wombs who buy into that whole breeding bullshit. although i could find one use for it, but $500 is pretty expensive for a clay pigeon at a prolife rally (this could be one of those ideas that could finally get me lynched)

Teratophile

Barren wombs! They should take turns trying to shove these things into their honey pots. Then build up pressure to shoot them out... simulating circus births.

You know what was the grossest film I’ve seen this year and I’m not talking about horror films ether! It was the “DATE MOVIE”, it was so nasty it was wrong :D. The best part though was seeing all the women scream at the screen when that big chick was getting a make over at the car shop.
