Invincible has got to be one of my favorite comics on the stands now. After reading the Walking Dead, I've been buying everything Kirkman. Got all the Invincible trades/issues/the statue is on the way and I'm eagerly awaiting the movie. (If Brandon Routh didn't play Superman, he should have played Invincible.)
Issue 32 is good (sorry if I may be behind on my issues but living in Italy and having to get them whenever the Mrs. sends them out takes forever). I dunno but after reading it I wished there was....more? Not like "Oh man this comic rules I can't wait until the next issue!!!"-more but "I just wish there was a little more to the story"-more. Atom Eve is getting more powerful, Mark's being thick for not realizing she wants him, and they save a villiage. Offscreen. Just nothing too much happens until the last couple of pages and then BAM! Angstrom Levy with a huge fricken brain and Mark's mom bleeding. I dunno but it seems to me that more and more Kirkman's books need to only be read in graphic novel form. His writing is still good and the art is great (why doesn't Ottley do anything mainstream? He'd really break out great! And what is Corey Walker doing these days? How does Kirkman find these artists?!) and I'll keep going with this series but I just wished for more bang for my buck. Not even the back up story "Capes" was in this issue. I was really starting to get into it. And does the Spiderman/Invincible team up take place AFTER this issue and THEN pick up with the regular series? Kind of odd to incorporate this series with an issue of MTU done months and months and moths ago.
Thoughts?
