who is the most powerful person in the comic book universe?
my vote goes to Solar Man of the Atom.he did destroy the universe and put it back together, but i'm sure someone will disagree.please put what he or she or it did to educate us who are less informed.

Superman Prime, from Grant Morrison's JLA One Million.

Grant Morrison himself was a pretty powerful character. It's too bad he got killed off in an issue of Suicide Squad.

Seconded. Add to that the panic he causes as well.

Yeah but equally she could get a Mystery Man's power!

I always thought Rogue could only drain other mutants of their powers, not ordinary 'supers'...

The Beyonder has gotta be up there in the big power leagues. White disco suit and godlike powers. Sigh, to be the Beyonder. He did get his power stolen at one point by Dr.Doom though, so maybe I should re-think that one.

nah. rogue can only take powers away from someone if they let her touch their skin. the doc would just look at her, know everything about her, and then *PooF* turn her into a glass of wine. reality doesn't seem to be a sticking point with him as he can do anything.

my dears she is pretty damn good looking (probably my top pic of comic characters i wouldn't mind looking like, next to rose red of fables) I don't think it's gonna be that hard to get someone touch her... if she keeps quiet about her powers. Although the mind reading guy could be a problem. hmmm... perhaps touch jean first then fake the guy out telepathically... but that's just complicated. :(

Rogue is possibly the lamest character ever. she's a leech. the powers she has now aren't even her own, except for the leech ability.

I say Franklin Richards as well. If he can create a universe, then he can uncreate it as well. He just hasn't led a horific and tragic life such as someone like Dr. Doom or Magneto. Or lives only to destroy beneath his heels like Darkseid, or lay waste to entire civilzations once all their knowledge has been absorbed such as brainiac.

If he had someone like that to mentor him instead of his goody-goody family, then think of the ramifications. An entire Universe could be laid to waste and reformed a hundred times over before anyone even threw a punch in his direction.

It is kind of unfair. I always get a pissed off with really powered up characters (like Apocalypse)

Apocalypse: I am indestructable.
Archanngel: What about that point on the back of your neck?
Apocalypse: No. I also have the four horsemen to summon, can grow to an enormous size and am good friends with Donald Trump and Jose Mourinho.
Archangel: I hate you.

And yes, Rogue in the cartoon and comic is awesome (Anna Paquin is good, but not what I expected). Plus she is one of few superheroes to wear Norwich City colours (yellow and green)

I thought rogue could absorb other supers. All her flying and strength and stuff come from Carol Danvers and I'm pretty sure she isn't a mutant.

Didn't Franklin Richards die in the future along with Kitty Pride and a bunch of other mutants?

Psssh. Doctor Manhatten was powerful and all, but he couldn't do anything he wasn't fated to do. What a loser.

pretty cool, yes. but as his powers were granted by galactus, id have to say that he is efectively removed from the most 'powerful'. That and cable went toe to toe with him, might have won if he hadnt purposely labotomized himself part way through

Ha, damn right! And seriously, what about the Beyonder? I mean, ignoring the fact that Secret Wars (and everything that came out of it) sucked, he was able to literally do anything.
