i like the second one because it appeals to my morbid sense of humour, i think rotten.com had an entire library of photos with stillborns and abominations in the same vain. definitely not for the faint of heart. keep it in mind if you need inspiration.

love your stuff man, keep it up

for a crit, maybe show how they are made(hatched? sapling? cocoon? etc), or a growth phase showing the transformation into the monster

thanks for having a look. i'l try and pick up the pace with the updates.

jack_of_asses > yeah we all have a little morbid side. i diddnt end up using any reference with "walk the dog" but i did try looking for one, i wanted to find a good pic of a horse fetus but couldnt track one down.. o well
negative > i'l definatly do some process shots of a developing creature, sticking with this pencil tecnique, its realy good practice , get a B pencil and a HB just dont press hard, and i've found its all about how you hold the pencil..

This stuff is really awesome man ... my only beef is that its hard to see some of your great detail. Try to find some ways to get your whites to pop out a tad more as well as your blacks.

Keep posting ... I'm feeling inspired ;)

very cool and creepy. that 'dream within a dream' pic reminds me of how Tim Kelly's pieces feel. it just has that texture that he seems to use alot and you really put life into the pic.

I've always been a fan of stuff that's heavily rendered, and you do a great job.

I look forward to seeing more of your work. Do you have a DeviantArt account at all?

man it just keeps getting better and better! i really dig the new stuff. your style is simular to guy named stephen gammell. he was the illustrator on these 'scary stories to tell in the dark' series of books. the pictures sent a chill up my spine, it was a really macbre childrens book and your pictures conjure up the same feelings. keep it up!

Very cool stuff! Nice and morbid! Kind of reminds me of the tattoo work of Paul Booth (check his stuff out here: http://www.darkimages.com, it's awesome too!). Keep up the great work!

Micah

the one of the hapless deep sea diver is really freaky, man. it's the thought of that kinda stuff that really creeps me out about deep, dark waters.
