Some would say my jamborees,
are chosen willy-nilly.
But a pleasure it could be,
to draw an adventurer so silly!

Sergio Aragonés's Groo!

-----------------------------------------------------------
So take some time off of your busy schedules and participate in this fun weekly-ish activity. Remember, this isn't for crits, or competition, or anything other than fun.

Any medium, be it traditional or digital, and take as much time as you'd like. Your only limits are the regular posting guidelines.

This Jamboree will be up for seven days (or so), then a new one may replace it. But don't worry, all old Jamborees can be found in the Community Projects (http://www.penciljack.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=42) forum, and can be posted in as often as you'd like.

PLACEHOLDERS ARE NOT NEEDED.

What with 80's sword and sorcery comics making the comeback, why should Groo, Rufferto, and Chakaal be neglected in the new millennium?

A Pencil-fray, let us enter it!

Na razie,

Greg

You just picked that because it had jamboree in the title.

No, that was just a convenient coincidence. Why spite good fortune? ;)

I'm all about Aragonés stacked babes! :D

I'd also like to see a variety of entries. A more realistic take on Groo and Rufferto would be quite rockin'!

Hey Groo! I have a load of back issues of that stored away! It has to be said, when Rufferto used to strap on Groo's swords and enter the fray...They were golden moments for me. Perhaps I should have played outside more as a child.

I'm thinking of an '90's Image comics' rendition of Groo and his K9 pal... I will see if I can pencil it tonight, colour tomorrow and post on Sunday.

If i'm not too much of an asshole, i'll try to bust one out. Sergio is such an awesome guy.

Sweet!

Good start. I've got to ink mine. I forgot about Rufferto -- there was no room left after the boobs and feet. :(

I'm hoping I can trick Reilly and Chris Chua into this one. :P

i don't know a damn thing about Groo 'cept he's a 'funny' Conan-type guy, so I ripped off Frazetta

and yes, sadly, that's my trying to be 'painterly' in photoshop... :(
