A lot of these are very cool, Ugga; especially the "Bellybutton Lint" ones. And the best compliment I can give you on every hero you did was that they were all recognizeable.
That's quite a dump, sir.
Keep drawing!

Thanks Pop. BTW, I need to thank Loston for helping me with the first four.

I also want to do another Bellybutton Lint with the Lion in the middle of Goldilocks and the three bears, with a caption
"If I only had some Porridge"
but I can't get the Lion right.:(

That THING is hilarious. I just now realized who it was.
I laughed out loud in several spots. My favorite was this:

Considering what you've posted before, you are improving. I'm glad to see that you've been working at it. You're actually starting to develop a style all your own. Good stuff. I too really like that Batman and that Dr. Doom is great as well.

ok.. well it's hard to know what you are going for but i think that employing more line control and variation would help a lot.
once you have mastery over line, then you can use it to show form. everything here comes off as very, very, flat and two dimensional.
i'm guessing that you are going for a sort of chris chua/frank hembeck style here so absolute anatomy and rendering is probably not your end goal, right? but even still, some of the limbs have either extra joints or none and that's kind of strange to see.
i'm really enjoying these ugga, and i also enjoyed the latest awesome storm justice 41. i was a bit shocked to see impalations but the kid didn't seem too nervous about it so it all worked out.

One question. When talking about line weights. I understand that I am using the same line weights for everything.
I'm not certain about when and how to employ thicker or thinner lines. I don't want to do it randomly.
and btw, did everyone notice the pom pom on Doom's hat? :D

well, the thing about line weights is that they are highly subjective. some people are very anal about when and how to use them but i have seen some very successful artists who use them differently than the accepted norms.
that said there are certain rules of thumb to follow, and i'm sure there are others more qualified than me to talk about it, but i'll take a stab anyway.
one idea holds that you draw a thicker line on the bottoms of objects. the concept is that where light hits an object, your contour line should be thinner on the top of the object and fatter at the bottom. for example... if you look at the bottom of the sword in this drawing i made:
http://shadesoflogan.sphosting.com/Images/ValentineLo_2.gif
you can see that the line is thicker on the bottom. in most cases "bottom" means the point on the object farthest from the light, so line weights can be in any direction.
another good thing to know about is about line hierarchies. usually things closer to the viewer are outlined thicker and more solidly while things in the distance may be rather loosely drawn. i hope this helps, ugga
