Here's a match-up for all of you Batman fanboys (myself included.)
From the previous films, which Batman would be the last man standing?
Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, or do I dare say George Clooney. Voting will
last up for a week and yes, I purposely left out Christian Bale because yes
ALL of you would probably pick him. I agree though, that he would probably
win. Anywho, explain your reasoning, and let the match begin. Ding, ding!

I say Keaton. Although he appeared annoyingly short, he showed the dark side the best. I loved Val Kilmer in Tombstone - but he was no Batman. George Clooney, I just don't like.

LOVE THE BAT!!!

Michael Keaton - Best costume, good actor, from an age when you didn't need to be good looking to be in a blockbuster, and he was interesting.

Watching Michael Keaton (real name Michael Douglas, trivia fans!), you genuinely could believe he was a nutjob who dresses as a bat.

Val Kilmer was fine. Batman Forever is average.

Then we come to George Clooney. Don't get me wrong, he's a smooth, charming actor who's done some sterling work for independent film. Indeed, it's a mark of his genius that he sold out with the first film and then went to the serious stuff.

However, that film, alongside Godzilla, The Avengers and Speed 2 was why 1997 sucked, and was only just saved by Men In Black and Titanic.

Interesting that Christian Bale's been left out of this one...

had to go with Kilmer, when Batman Forever first came out I was totally peaved, "Keaton is Batman!" it wasnt until later when I rewatched the original Batmans that I just couldnt get into Keaton as Batman. I dunno why.

Keaton all the way. I still prefer BATMAN over Batman Begins. If only Keaton were a little taller, he'd be spot on.

I picked Clooney... Why? Because he rocked and stuff. He wasn't as stiff as Keaton and Kilmer... plus batman had returned to it's campy ways... minus the biff bam kapow!

Clooney was the best as Bruce Wayne and Val Kilmer was the best as Batman. Kilmer comes off as sort of a psycho and has the physique to be Batman. Keaton is a good actor and I like him in alot of other stuff. He came off as too small and not intimidating as the Dark Knight. All of them bow down to Bale. He is great as both.

yeah and the rubber nipples were great:confused: RiiGHt!

Clooney should have been shot after Return of the Killer Tomatoes. It's true http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095989/

And I would like to "pencil" in Christian Bale.... or Lewis Wilson I.

Indeed, there was nowt else amongst the chaos. There's only so much Christopher Walken can do.

sorry bale's the man

Although i should say that my runner up is keaton. God... i still remember seeing BATMAN at the drive in with my friends (mind you my parents drove us there) sitting on the roof of our car and falling asleep during the second feature Pink Cadallac (sorry clint... but man, that was a bad film)

From these three only Keaton can make it. His Batman was spot on in both movies as far as being a brooding character. His Bruce Wayne was goofy but still managed to show the dark side. But put him up against Bale and he's toast.
Bale is shorter BTW.

I thought it was the director that ruined BATMAN & ROBIN.Clooney did not "put nipples on the bat-suits," or dropped the stuntmen that made the battles kick rear! Joel Whatz-Hiz-Name came up with those orchestrated moves that took us full circle by to the day of the TV series, which is what Tim Burton was tryingto get away from. Back in the 80's when Keaton got the role, over Adam West(sorry, he was not going to pull of being a Dark Knight.) Keaton was burned in effigy, which was a bit extreme. Batman Returns actually introduced Marlon Waylon as Robin, but the test audience did not like the Ebon Boy Wonder, so he was dropped from the film, and the backstory with the Penguin was added. Waylon had a contract for two films, and was paid nicely for not being a part of the franchise.

Yes and...? So he's a bit shorter. The deranged way in which he prepared for that film (and indeed every film he does) puts him up there for me.

George Clooney was miscast as Batman- Clooney is charismatic, cool and charming. I consider both Batman and Bruce Wayne none of these things. I like Bale being a pretend playboy and Keaton being such a nut you genuinely believe he dresses as a bat at night.

i still dont thinkt heyve found the right man. Keaton worked as batman, not bruce wayne. Kilmer worked as wayne, but not bats. clooney didnt work at all. and bale had no upper lip. nope. sorry, they havent gotten it right yet.

i liked the fact that when they looked up wearing the batman costume, they had to twist their entire body cause the neck couldn't move (easily) that makes the bat look so awesomely stupid.... THOUGH .... i would go for Clooney since i hate Kilmer for non-movie-related stuff... and i haven't seen the rest... or very little for that part.
