Here's the basic premise. Each person does their own page, however complete they want it, then the next person picks up where that page leaves off. Simple, right?

What I'd like to do is let it run for as long as possible, or cap it at 100 pages. Since there's no story, and it changes with each page, the thing could last forever if we let it.

To avoid place holders and such that will not update the thread, but to also avoid having a scramble for pages, I'd like to do this a certain way. We'll have a sign up thread and a posting thread. The posting thread will be in the main CP forum, the sign up thread will be here in the discussion room. If you want to participate, sign up and you then draw your page when your time comes up. Post it in line after the previous page and we'll keep that thread as clean as possible so a new person can come in and read the sequence without chatter.

So, that's the idea. Feel free to talk about it here AND/OR sign up.

Hosting

Remember, this may be here for a long time, so if you think the image you're going to have is going to go away for whatever reason, or you don't have a host that allows remote linking, please let me know and I should be able to host the images for you.

Turn Around

I don't want to be a jerk about this, but remember, if you sign up, please be aware that a) it could be a while before we get to you and b) when we get to you, please respond quickly. Try to have a page done quickly too. If you don't think you can, it's ok to say "skip me" because you can always try again later. I don't want this project to die because it takes people 2 weeks to draw something and then the next 3 people in line have forgotten about it and suddenly are too busy.

Real life is real life, but make sure when you sign up you do your best to stick to that committment.

Keep it reasonable. If you have to take a week on a page, so be it. This is purposefully going to be a long project, but if you think you'll take longer than a week, it's totally cool. You can bow out and move to later if you want.

he bumped me to this weekend because of.... well, because he's being pissy. I hate relying on people, so I'm buying my own scanner tomorrow. Screw this dependency nonsense.

That's the thing about going from just writing to also (pretending I'm capable of) drawing and inking. I didn't think about the scanner issue. But it's remedied. Sorry.

I just tried the image it a new browser and I got this.

nah. If the image was saved as a .jpg, it shouldn't matter what mode you worked in.

Or you uploaded a corrupted file.

not always, i've had many a file say it had errors, when it was cmyk, on the web, and a jpeg.

it was the cmyk thing. i changed it to RGB. it's up.

also, having NEVER done anything like this, I didn't realize the text would be so slow.

I'm going to fix that later. The content will remain the same, but I'm going to fix the dialogue. Sorry guys.

The page is coming along. It's nowhere near finished, but I'm trying. Thought I'd give an update, since the last time I was terribly silent.

I arranged to work Sunday and Monday and have pretty much the rest of the week off, so I'm going to try to spend tuesday and wednesday and then do some finishing touch-ups on thursday. Then it's off to kinkos for the scan. Yum.

Just trying not to be silent.
