Jedi vs The X-Men

Friend of mine and I were talking about this and I think the Jedi would kick the crap out of the X-Men. I'm pretty sure light sabers can cut through adamantium, so Yoda would cut Wolverine's claws off with his lightsaber. Then Obi Wan would chop Xavier's head off and the rest of the Jedi would straight murder all the X-men. Seriously, they have The Force and they've all been trained since they were little. X-Men don't stand a chance. Bwahahahaha!

Whereas I'm not so sure the sabers can cut through adamantium, I doubt Wolverine could do much more than cut down several Jedi before biting the big one himself.

Jedi all the way, even in spite of teh prequel trilogy.

Really just depends. A number of jedi, yes would probably be
taken down by Wolverine, and pretty much the majority of the X-Men
would be taken down by the Jedi. I'd have to say that Cyclops, Gambit,
Wolverine, Phoenix, and Iceman would probably be the last remaining X-Men fighting.

I assume we're talking about the Jedi circa Episode 2 when they had a whole bunch of them, right?
Even so, the X-Men would kick their asses, and not just because of telepathy either (I doubt even Xavier could control too many people's minds at once, especially not Jedi's who have mind training).
Someone mentioned that the Jedi have trained longer, but that's like compairing a Shaolin monk who's been studying martial arts his whole life to a Navy Seal who's just been training for 5-10 years. My money's on the Seal any day.
The X-Men's major advantage are that a lot of them can fly. What's a Jedi going to do against Storm? Throw his lightsaber at her against the wind? Nope.
And there's no way a lightsaber can cut through adamantium, so to Wolverine they wouldn't be much more than a bunch of guys with glow in the dark swords who can maybe push him around a little bit with their minds (as if he's not used to that by now). And although they can MAYBE deflect a certain amount of Cyclops' eye-beams I have no doubt that he would quickly overtake them.
And, just like Cyclops, Havok is a cannon that they wouldn't be able to do much about.
Pheonix, Marvel Girl and Psylock pretty much have the same powers as Jedi except better.

Beast, Angel and even Iceman (because I'm pretty sure a lightsaber would pwn any amount of ice he can generate)might have some trouble unless they beefed up with some weaponry, but even then they'd still have trouble because that's what the Jedi are trained to fight against.

And of coarse this is all assuming Polaris doesn't get her powers back before Fight Night because, I mean, magnet powers vs lightsabers-- here's a hint, Anakin's about to get stabbed by his own sword before Luke's even born.

In this fight the only thing the Jedi have going for them would be numbers, and that's something that's never been a problem for the X-Men before.

wow this is a very vague topic....which jedi vs which x-men? i think a lineup of sorts should have been established first. if its any jedi ever versus every xman ever, thatd be a humongerous fight, but for the sake of a short response ill have the main guys (colossus, jean, kitty pryde, beast, wolverine, storm, cyclops) versus the best jedi (mace windu, yoda, obi-wan, anakin, qui-gon jinn). someone said jedi are too emotional....anakin was the only one who got all emotional, everyone else seemed to have control.

a lightsaber would NOT cut through adamantium, it couldnt even cut those glowing sticks in episode 3. but to kill wolverine, only two words are needed....force choke. a healing factor cant make you breathe again. wolverine vs mace windu in a kendo esque fight would rock though, because i think i recall george lucas saying thats what maces style was based on.

kitty pryde would be incredibly hard to kill, cuz of her phasing skills, but shes just not strong enough to take out any jedi, so shed eventually get killed.

beast would get pwned.

colossus would probably take out the weaker jedis, but yoda would run circles around him.

storm would take out a bunch until anakin got in his starfighter and shot her down.

cyclops would be my vote for last man standing, but his eyebeams would get deflected by the lightsaber right back into his chest.

I think it's great that you chose the Xmen Students agains the Jedi Masters... //sarcasm

But... I hardly doubt you could leave out Professor X who would probably send both Yoda and Obi Wan into epileptic seizures... Also it should be noted that the Force seems to work best on people who are already afraid... a category Wolverine would not fall into... and the fact that the Force Choke is one of the Dark Arts in Jedi Lore... in a word... it wouldn't even come into play.

I can buy Cyclops Blast getting deflected back at him but I think that's been done before... I think an opening Savo of a Wide Blast would be used as the X-men picked their targets. Anikin will try to get in his star fighter to get storm and Kitty would fly through the engines causing them to explode and killing anikin....

It's just too many different scenarios... Perhaps we could have a Jam Session to figure this out. Of course I say this while waiting patiently for my scanner to arrive.

A Force choke would take too long in a fight, so you can't even throw that into the equation anyway.
And a light saber could not deflect Cyclops' beam! Lightsabers can deflect little laser gun charges, not something as large or as powerful as Cyclops' optic blast.

I know magneto is an enemy of the x men but just imagine if he was fighting against the jedi too. he'd kick all their asses instantly because he'd just take all their lightsabres away and break them or something and then the jedi would be like ohhhhh shit and poo their pants. because magneto is like the master of metal and the jedis lightsabres are made of metal and magneto can therefore take their metal lightsabres with his metal mastering abilities and he could even bend them while they where in their hands and cut them or make them explode in their hands or shit like that. the x men would die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jedi not only posses telekinetic but also telepathic, yes telepathic. Yoda is the master of force and most of his abilities do not appear in the movies. He could do all professor Xavier did but only thing stopping him is the jedi code that he could not use the force for such things.
There is one situation where Captain Typho discovers yoda's hidden place and soon yoda entered his mind and tried to erase his memories but thought for a while and realized "It's not the jedi way". He could even create illutions. There is much more of yoda's telepathic abilities which are not mentioned in the movies or even the games.
Cyclopes' blasts are comparable to sith lords' force lightning, Yoda could easily stop them with bare hands.
Most notable ability was battle meditation. when yoda uses this power it means the battle is over and his openents loose.
How could you ever forget "One with the Force". It is impossible to destroy a Jedi.

Adamantium = Mandalorian armor. It's not indestructable vs Star Wars. (You can always tell who's a fanboy of what by how they answer that)

(I don't remember who it was that said a Navy Seal would beat a Shaolin Monk but I'm assuming that you mean a Navy Seal with a gun... otherwise that's not very likely)

Jean Grey (a.k.a. Pheonix) would destroy any and all sith/jedi. Even if they fought her all at one time. She could de-materialize their bodies before they even knew what happened. She is the epitomy of power.

Xavier would win against any and all Sith/Jedi (Besides Yoda, personally Yoda would be his equal). He would either
A. Make them think they are 2 year old girls for the rest of their life.
B. Practically turn their brains off.
C. He would run them over with his wheelchair...

Wolverine would definately be able to kill some Jedi but not Yoda. Wolverine would have some serious problems with the Sith I agree. However, a lightsabre cannot cut through adamantium because plain and simple *** Adamantium is a legendary metal that has claimed itself to be INDESTRUCTABLE period *** lightsabers are no exception.

The other X-men I think could go either way. Just depending on the skill of the Jedi. Only other X-men I personally believe could kill a Jedi would be Nightcrawler. His teleportation is much too sparatic and quick for Jedi to have any defense against it.

Not even close. Force Lightning is painful, and eventually kills you. Cyke's optic blasts can punch through a mountain.

You can shrug off the simple tricks, but a direct attack isn't something anyone can shrug off.
