Hello, ladies and gentleman and welcome to what I'd like
to call, "The Guillermo del Toro Challenge." As some of you
may or may not know Guillermo del Toro directed both Blade II
and Hellboy. So, I figured that a duel to the death would be
a very interesting idea. Who do you think is truely king of the ring -
Blade versus Hellboy. Let the fight begin!!! Man, I'm corny.

Dick Grayson: So what do you call this thing, anyway?
Batman: The Batmobile.
Dick Grayson: That is totally queer.
Batman: Shut up.

getting down to each characters resume... hellboy would stomp Mr.Buffy... it's what he does. Blade kills metro-sexual vamps... big deal. Hellboy beats up giant killer man eating calamari and then goes out for sushi.
Hellboy hands down.

He also beat RararaRasputin, Russia's greatest love machine.

Ah yes, but this is the "Del Toro" challenge and he did a much better job on Blade than on Hellboy so it's really Blade's win.

Really? Blade 2 was a bit naff in my opinion. I warm to (no pun intended) Hellboy much more as a character than I do Wesley Snipes frowning until his head creases like greaseproof paper.

Well, as a character, Hellboy is definitely better. But I still say the better movies are the two Blades. I guess I'm the only one that really liked Blade 2 because my wife says the same thing about it.

Blade is cool and all, but he's no match for the Right Hand Of Doom.

More power to anybody that liked it, but I thought Blade 2 was one of the more atrocious movies I've seen.

Beyond that, I gotta go with Hellboy on this one. Blade's tough and all, but at the end of the day, he's just a vampire/human hybrid. Hellboy's just too tough for him. While Blade was busy pulling trying to look cool by putting on some sunglasses (at night) in slow motion, Hellboy would be snapping the sword off of some conveniently located statue and impaling Blade with it.

I have to go with the fat mexicans version of Blade, Hellboy just did not feel like Hellboy to me.

OK, confession time, I haven't read the comic of Hellboy, but from what I could tell, short of Sin City, it was about as faithful an adaptation as they could do.

Blade 2 for me was a weird full circle- Having influenced The Matrix with its very understated coolness, it became this flashy thing with a Mummy Returns-style case of sequelitis, where you not only have more action, but more characters, more unecessary gadgets and more incoherence.

The Brothers Grimm was a better Hellboy movie.

Um... black people kick major ass. Black people are major hard asses
when they need to be, while white people have to be either crazy to
be hard asses or just plain unbelievable. Seriously. I'm pretty sure.

Del Torro would win. He's a director. Gary Coleman is not. Directors always win.
