I like to pick up new titles now and again when I browse through my comic shop to see if there's some good stuff out there that usually falls under the radar. I've been pleasantly surprised this way. Sometimes I'm not. This is one of those times.

I picked up issue 1 this past weekend (or was it last?) to check it out. I thought, "Cool, robot people instead of real people!" It is a good concept, but that's about it.

From what I gather, the story is about a NYC bus driver, Quentin, who gets 'held up' in a manner of speaking by, what I presume will be, his future love interest and ordered to drive through Central Park so he can both see the beauty of the park with freshly fallen snow and drop her off at her stop. The story was tame at best and not very interesting. The art was great and the accents and idiosyncracies in the dialogue were well done I thought, but beyond that? Nothing.

I might take a look at the regular series, since from my understanding this was a side story, but I'm a little leery at the prospect of it being interesting based on this issue I read.

You can read the original two issue mini here (http://www.imagecomics.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?main=features&sub1=onlinecomics) for nada, courtesy of Image Comics.

And I recommend you do.
