the neck to head ratio and position look a little off to me. Otherwise completely awesome.

astrocity20: my first turtle, wasn't really sure about anything. some reference has a longer skinny neck. others you can barely see it. not making excusses, or disputing you, i just took a shot at it, and walked away. thanks for sharing. ;)
jacon: well if i have a enough time, i will, but my inking nibs are rusted, and my pens are somewhat dry. if i can't complete it in time, i'll just throw in the pencil.
thanks for stopping by.

Like Jeff Spicoli would say: "Most excellente, hombre"
This is one of the coolest rendition of a TMNT that I have seen,Cool lines.

wow, this is looking good! I like the more 'realistic' version of the Turtles ive seen. I like the pose and the textures on the weapons and the flesh...
can't wait to see this battle! ( kinda wish i had entered).

Crimson Spider:thanks i try...
Dominicano:i am now "totaly stoked" by your words.
huronblakhart:i'm a strong believer in trying to do something original.
i aslo updated the pic, i've laid in the basic shadow, but i still haven't figured out how to shade his right arm, or laid out the backgrounds. and i may not have time to ink this. but i have until midnight tonight to figure it out.
did i say thanks already? oh well, thanks again for stopping by...

Looking better and better. And actually I think what I'm not liking with the head is on your left, bot. left where the chin, lip whatever. That line looks to straight for my liking. I personally think it should curve up a little then curve back down. I dunno I'm probly not explaining it right.
It bothers me but whatever the pic is great.

I think that your work on the Turtle itself is great, but you will need a backgroud to make it more interesting. have you experimenting with some buildings or maybe even a sewer scene. I definitely think that this would look good in ink, but if you dont have the time don't stress it looks fine. I would suggest making it darker though.

Looks good to me. I think it looks nice in the loose pencils, which you might lose if you ink it really tight.

I agree, only mess with it if you really know how to ink. Least that's the way I am, I hate botching something I think is good. But whatever makes ya happy.

astrocity20:yes i did understnad you wheni looked at it, his "jaw line" and "nose line" were were blending together without much distinction. fixed that. thanx
btvowels:i agree a background would complete this, but time is short for the challange and it will have to wait.
Maverick:astrocity20: i would love to ink it, but i think i'm going to have to work up some courage first.
i've updated the pic for the last time. this is what's going into the challenge. thanx for the c&c's and stopping by...

S'one of the best turtle pencils I've seen. I'd buy a book if they looked like this.

astrocity20:that's music to my ears, and builds my confidence in my work beacause i have plans on doing commisions and ecommerce prints from my website, sometime next year.
xadrian:well if you know who's publishing the book, put in good word for me. or better yet, someone call Kirkman and i'm there. ;)
hey, again i can't thank everyone enough who posted thier comments, or just wanted to look. also thanks for the C&C's, they are well recieved and always welcome.
peace out
