Alright so I am listening to my local Classic Rock station and I have noticed there has been a great deal of 80's songs add to the play list... WHEN THE **** DID THE 80's BECOME CLASSIC ROCK!!!!

Man I am feeling old today. When "I" think classic rock I am thinking mid 60's to late 70's. Don't get me wrong I like 80's music but how can you mix Flock of Seaguls with Grand Funk Railroad?

I discovered that they played 80s music on the oldies stations a few years ago. I at work, and my co-worker asked me what radio station I wanted to listen to. I told her to put on classic rock, since I don't like most of what's on the radio. We were both really sad when we heard 80s music. It makes me feel old, too.

That's really pushing it. But I mean it is classic... not old though.

Sounds like denial.

Maybe the definition of a "classic" station is "10-20 years ago" because I remember the classic rock station in Austin playing 70's rock in the 80's. Even so, :( .

I don't think the question is "When the **** did the 80's become classic rock?", it's more like "When the **** did the 80's become rock?"

I mean, c'mon...Poison was far too gay to be rock.
