Critiques welcome!! I'm not to happy with the following page, mostly because it was a rush job to meet a deadline for a class.

These look pretty good Mr. Moron.........excuse me, I mean MorTon......

I think the storytelling is well done, even if we dont' know the characters yet, we know that guys a badass. I couldnt' really tell what he's doing on the very first page...smoking a cigar I think? Eating beef jerky? Also his tats confused me for a sec until I saw them in the rest of the panels.

The last page is giving me a big time Preacher feel too. The Saint of Killers is comin' for YOU boy

Any plans on coloring this stuff? I don't think I've ever seen anything of yours in color

Check it out! It's a bunch of Cool Club members posting in the same thread! I already commented on this in DeviantART, but I figured I'd link to the colours I did the other day:

Cool.......cluuuuub?

Pretty sweet coloring. You're getting better with that. My only suggestion would be that the texture you used in the bottom panel would look really cool in the blood too, cause it looks flat right now. Very nitpicky though

How did you do that texture anyway?

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'm assuming the texture is a paper effect in Painter Classic maybe? Or a dissolve effect for the airbrush in Photoshop? *shrugs*

I'll post more stuff later--I was going to scan the two pages from my 'war' comic short, but probably will later this week. And about five Jazz Devil pages too (uninked).

Cheers.

Sweet! Looking forward to seeing 'em!

Re: the texture for the cover, I just chose a very dark brown, a very light brown (almost white, really), dropped the opacity way down to around 15, selected the Rough Round Bristle brush from the default set, and stippled like a crazy dude.

I tweaked the blood a bit. Here's the updated version:
