For a second, I misread the texture as metallic. Whew.

Someone should make a joke about neon lights and nipples! I can't wait to see it! Hee hee!

That is some scary shit. And I like the gas mask incorporated into the design... it's new, but it's effective and in keeping with the character.

Kick ass!!

Is it? If not it looks pretty bad ass! Though how is the actor going to fit his neck in that mask?

The thing says it's just concept art. neat though.

I'm the only one that thinks this is kinda lame? Hm. I hope he ATLEAST has nipples. Now THAT'D be scary!

SCORE!

Really, though, I AM kinda let down by this. I hope it has a little more "oomph" in the movie.

Well, this is just concept art. The actual design may be radically different from this. Or this could be pretty much the final design. No way to tell until we see real photographic images of the Scarecrow.

That guy who played Strykers son in X2 would make a great Scarecrow. He's got that long scrawny neck thing going.

Looks like a serial killer mask made of flesh with some sort of gas mask filter. Looks awesome to me but we are talking about a very vague sketch here, I want to see a photo but either way the movies shaping up to look like the type of Batman movie I've always wanted to see.

Thanks for clearing that up, phil.

Im not digging it. The round mouth is really throwing me off, I realize its some kinda customized gas mask and all but it makes him look like some kind of aquatic alien or something. Ive waited years for the Scarecrow to make it on film, I hope in the end hes a little scarier than this onion headed "Mac & Me" concept.
Just my 2 cents.

I read at wizaruniverse.com about some showing at the con of a trailer. They said they had some scary ass shot of scarecrow in it. Wonder if this is it?

is that the kid from keenan and kell? o_O;;

anyway, scarecrow mask, it's pretty damn creepy. i think the blank eyes really freak me out for some reason. the mouth cover thing is... okay, but i think they could do so much better than that. :-/

well apparently, that's not the final mask as stated from this...

October 07, 2004 - Mukmouth has posted a picture of what they claim is the first look at Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow in Batman Begins. Their scooper claims "to be currently working on an official 'Art of...' book for Batman Begins, and the image just happens to be some concept art for the Scarecrow."

Batman-on-Film received word from one of their sources, however, who calls the Mukmouth image "way off. I have seen the real deal, it looks as if Leatherface made his mask out of burlap material, sewn up Burton-Catwoman-like, with slits for the eyes and a sewn up slit for the mouth. It is very gruesome and dark."

BoF also reports that Harvey Dent, a.k.a. Two-Face, might be the villain of the next Batman sequel rather than The Joker. The site claims to know which actor is up for the role but can't reveal it yet.

Finally, IESB has posted a video interview with Christian Bale wherein he briefly discusses his role as The Dark Knight.

E.J.'s rendition is much scarier. Warner Brothers take notes! :D
