I guess I'm the only one psyched about the Big Apple Con. I figure it's in NYC so it must be better than the little Hilton Inn cons I've been too. And I haven't been to anything that big yet.

Anyway, in case you didn't know, the Big Apple Con is this weekend 3-4 of Apr at the Penn Plaza Pavillion.

I gather the Penn Plaza Pavillion is right at Penn Station?

Yeah, I hear Big Apple Con is not the greatest. I'm passing on it.

Big Apple Cons suck. I went to one once, and it was pretty boring, except that Andy Lee said one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about my art.

MoCCA (http://moccany.org/) is a small press con in NY. It's totally awesome. If you've ever been to SPX, MoCCA's better. (On another note, if you plan on ever getting a table for it, get it like a year in advance. I registered for a table 6 months in advance, and I was too late.)

big apple con sucks hard. Don't waste your time. MOCCA is the best convention I've ever been to.

WOW, I was wondering why no one even mentioned it. But it's worse than boring, apparently it "sucks" :)

I want to go see Chinatown this weekend anyway, so if the con sucks it'll just mean more time at Chinatown I guess.

Btw, I met the artist for Bendis's "Powers" at the last con in Phili, and he said something about it maybe'll be a little better this year...and he's going to be there. So if your a Powers fan it might be nice to meet him. He's a hell of a guy, actually, I told him that I never read a Powers book so he gave me a free autographed novel...tpb, I guess.

With the acception of Mocca, the NY cons blow chunks. Don't get your hopes up.
