I've been posting here for 3 years, and I've always posted my watercolors, markers, color pencils and every other hand painted piece in the drawing table section. I've always assumed that the coloring section was for anything digital and after re-reading the guidelines in the coloring section it still wasn't clear. It seems that I am not the only one that posts paintings in the drawing table. I know Anneth and many others have in the past.

Just want to clarify if there has been a rule change, or if I've been breaking the rules for three years. Because I don't know why my Hellboy color piece was moved this morning.

So please let me know.

Thanks.

In the description of the drawing table---

"Finished pencils, inks and paintings"

Yeah Dfbovey is right, its so confusing.

I never liked the idea of separate drawing table from colors, I liked the old days when colors and drawings shared the same space.
But well, rules are rules.

I've always thought if you did the full piece yourself you could post it on the DT, but if you just colored someone else's piece it should go in C&DA.

Xadrian's basically right. We've allowed some overage in the Drawing Table/Coloring & Digital Artwork so as to be as flexible as possible.

It's not rare, for example, for someone to post a picture they drew, inked and colored, etc. We suggest that you post the image in the forum most relevant to the advice you want - if you want comments/criticism about the anatomy, etc. post it in the Drawing Table. If you want comments about the colors, post it in the Coloring & Digital Artwork forum.

In this case, since you had posted the original drawing and inks in the Drawing Table, it probably would have been more appropriate to post the colors in the Coloring & Digital Artwork forum.

I know it's a bit confusing, but this subjectivity was built in to give us maximum flexibility so we didn't have to create hard and fast rules.

Just bear with us for a while, though, because we're going to be restructuring some things soon and hopefully we'll make it clearer then.
