Huh, well it's not bad. I couldn't do better, but there's some things I definitely don't like about it.
Like the fact I can't tell what the feck is going on in some of the panels. Same feeling I get reading Transformers. "Is that an arm? A torso?"

Hmm...
It looks like the impressive-looking colors saved his butt on this one. I agree with what Ben said, and I'll add that this artist's sense of composition, depth and space, and anatomy need work. The colors overpower the lineart to the point of confusion.

I marked him as a Favorite a while ago... but I don't know that he's any more on the "superstar" track than a dozen other Deviants that I could think of.
For instance:
Anry (http://anry.deviantart.com/)
Ukitakamuki (http://ukitakumuki.deviantart.com/)
Cheeks-74 (http://cheeks-74.deviantart.com/) (Who just got tapped by Marvel for 15 pages)
LHS (http://lhs.deviantart.com/) (also a co-worker and friend of mine)
Hoon is good though (I wouldn't follow his work otherwise), but if he's really going into comics, he might want to find a way to produce more than 3 pages in 6 days. And brush up on the clarity of his sequentials.

This is horrible. These sequentials are too confusing. Normally good colors would fix that, but these aren't good colors. He should have at least attempted to make the characters pop out more. Took a few looks to see that was even Venom let alone what Venom is doing.

See, Dash understands that a flashy surface is no substitute for solid structure.

I fully agree. I had no idea what the hell was going on. It looks kinda pretty an all, but good storytellin it aint.

The pages are nice, that's for sure, but confusing.
The page lay-out plainly sucks.
I spot a LOT of lighting mistakes, and his anatomy is more off than on.
But yeah, if you look at this shallowly it's OMFG this is SO GR8!!!!1
EDIT: the Anry guy is technically out-standing.

Too bad I don't practice what I preach, right? hehehehhehehehe
That Spiderman page is great but the coloring elevates it even further than it actually is. Hoons other work at his site is also good. I've just bookmarked his site.

What Did I just look at? It was just a mishmash of non sequential figures(?) in some kinda kaliedescope. He draws good hands though.

Pretty good, although this guy wields Photoshop like a kid who found his dad's gun.

yah the anatomy is way of in alotta places......i dont mean way off like it just plain sucks......
but if yer gonna lay down all those sweet colors you better have a real solid framework........cause is the the easy little things are not done right.....its just a pig in a silk dress!

cool visuals, but this kid is basically the same kind of artist as those found on deviant, same as those Inkthinker posted.Good with the Photoshops and Painters, but not necessarily that much of outstanding basic artistry. You can tell when they work from a pose or if they work from scratch, the shadows, reflections, among other things just aren't there. It all gets redundant after a while......*yawn*.....I don't even go there anymore,I'd rather roam the conceptart boards, sometimes there is some inspiration or motivation there.
I gotta hand it to the colorist. If it were me I wouldn't know what the hell I was inking. As confusing as those middle panels are, I bet they were worse in b&w. Yikes. JV

Shes was a pretty one, but I've had better
Lighting is terrible. There's way too much shine/gloss on the figures and it really weakens the overall composition. There are a lot of things wrong with the work, but you got to give the guy credit for trying.

I looked through some of his other work, and it is much better than this.
I agree that The Spiderman page just doesn't work though. It's way too confusing and unclear.
