MST3K in trouble!!

For all the Mystery Science Theater 3000 fans out there, and there must be a couple, you will be pained to know that the contract between best brains (the company that produced MST3K) and the sci fi channel is gonna run out at the end of January. This means that MST will be leaving TV again. This time it could be for ever... This is a terrible tragedy!! Can MST3K be saved?

yeah, it's on scifi on saturdays at 9 a.m. a heinous time for MST, I know, but at least it's on and there's always the VCR...

not new episodes, though. They just rerun all the episodes from the Sci-Fi era. The show pretty much exhausted itself once Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank left.

used to absolutely loooove the show, but Pearl is to frigging annoying to be the main 'bad guy', and the castle as a base of operations was stupid.

still like Mike better than Joel, so bleh

Yeesh... be careful... ixne on the ikeme and the olejay... some people take that whole fight really personal... don't want this place to become a war zone... anyway, if MST3K goes off the air then TV will have no oasis... it will be the complete barren wasteland.

I just found out that voice for Tome Servo in the first season is partly responsible for the cartoon Mission Hill. Just a fun fact. :cool:

I like the Pearl episodes. Brainguy takes the crown for bad-guy sidekick. His halloween costume was tops.

Uh... yeah... I had no idea it was still on TV, either. But then again, I don't own a TV (this could be a problem since I buy DVDs...) I never saw the Sci-Fi channel version.

Ok people... settle down... I don't want any violence coming out of this. Weather you're a mike fan or a joel fan it's a tragedy. however, we can make a difference. Back when MST3K left the comedy channel, the mysties were there, and thanks to their flood of mail, the show was saved (that situation was different, however, right now the show is permanently canned already and all we have left are reruns. Also, the rights to the movies that were shown are probably running out). Maybe that will happen again. Until then, we'd better back up our tapes.
