First few pages of my new book. Doing the artwork myself so technically I don't need the script, but I'm flexing my writing muscles all the same.
==========
Project: Gemini #1
Page 1
P1 - Exterior space, asteroid field. There is a large asteroid in the center
Voice1 - It's time to complete what we've begun.
P2 - Close up of asteroid, a slight energy disturbance appears above the ground.
Voice2 - We should watch more closely. Watch longer.
P3 - Same view point, now 5 figures appear. They are humanoid, but ethereal, tall and regal, almost insubstantial. Each is different from the other. They are ancient.
Voice3 - It may not be the time.
P4 - View from over the shoulders of the figures toward a planet, some distance off but still easily recognizable as a world with land, clouds, maybe some water.
Voice1 - No. It starts now.
P5 - Closer view of the planet, it's a large bright planet. The asteroid belt is orbiting the planet. A few starships can be seen in orbit as well. You can start to make out civilization on the surface even from a distance.
Voice1 - It ends now.
Page 2
P1 - Closer still on the planet, now we are in range to see a coastline with a large metro/complex. Star and aircraft are all over the place. It's busy with large buildings on land and water, floating air barges, small shuttles. Along the coast we can see clover leaf structure.
Caption(c) - Planet Vesta. Seat of the Galactic Council.
P2 - Closer still on the clover leaf structure, it's a hanger with some vacant births. Each birth is a large circle suspended out from a central structure. There are several smaller docking platforms ringing the large ones.
c - Homeworld of humanity.
P3 - WEV from one of the large landing pads as a mid size asymmetrical ship approaches.
c - A humanity fraying at its edges.
P4 - The ship has landed and the main hatch is open, two figures are getting out. They are both male, in their late 20's early 30's. They are identical twins, one with long black hair pulled back, the other with long white hair left to hang loosely. They carry side arms and are towing a large metal container hovering behind them, just out of sight.
c - Finally succumbing to thousands of years of hatred, brutality, mistrust...
P5 - Full view of the two figures, Pollux and Castor, towing large container. The container is heavily reinforced with several warning markers and a control panel on its side. It's the shape of a large coffin.
c - ...and war.
Page 3
P1 - The two with their cargo are walking past a large cheery human in a booth by the hatch going into the main complex.
Dayl (in booth) - Welcome back, Gentlemen! I see you've caught a big one.
P2 - Shot from in front of the twins as they walk past the checkpoint.
Pollux(P) - (under his breath) Don't say, Dayl.
P3 - Same shot, more distance between them and the checkpoint. No dialogue.
P4 - Same shot, still more distance. The twins are wincing.
Dayl - Make sure you don't lose it this time! Bwa ha ha ha ha!
Page 4
P1 - Est. shot. BEV, Port can be seen in the distance. Immediate area with taller buildings, less industrial, more urban.
Voice (P) - Forget about Dayl, he's just a hanger jockey.
Voice (C) - Yeah, you're right.
P2 - Close up of a small flying transport with Galactic Council (GC) markings.
Voice (P) - Besides, we bagged Essex. This is huge for us.
Voice (C) - I know.
P3 - Interior of transport. P&C are seated behind the pilot. There are 4 seats total. The container is seen behind them in a holding area.
Pollux - You're wound to tight, you know that?
P4 - Shot of the two of them with container between.
Castor - Hey, with what we've got in that box...
P5 - Closer on box displaying a hazard like symbol with the words "Danger: Robotics"
Castor (0ff panel) - ...can you blame me?
Page 5
P1 - Shot of shuttle landing amidst armed security. Security should be large powerful, but they are humans in suits, not machines.
Voice (pilot) - Brace for landing, sirs. Looks like they've brought out the welcoming committee. Ellen Bartala's even making an appearance.
P2 - P&C disembarking.
Ellen Bartala (off panel) - Pollux and Castor.
P3 - Full shot of Ellen coming from another entrance with a couple escorts. She's tall with short tussled brown hair. She's wearing semi-finery, not terrible fancy, not terribly fashionable. She's young, but confident and austere.
Ellen - What have you boys brought me today?
P4 - Shot of the three coming together.
Ellen - Your last transmission said you had Essex. Is this true?
Castor - Yes ma'am.
Ellen - May I ask how you accomplished that?
P5 - The three are walking around to the end of the ship.
Pollux - Trade secret, Councilwoman.
P6 - The three have stopped, Ellen is looking at the other two. No text.
P7 - Same shot.
Ellen - Well, let's pop it open then, shall we?
Page 6
P1 - Aft of the transport, the container is hovered out. Security guards have weapons trained on it.
Guard (off panel) - Station one. Prep.
P2 - Two guards flip the top of the container open.
Guard (off panel) - Station one, clear. Station two, activate field.
Guard 2 (off panel) - Station two, field active sir. Normal metrics.
P3 - Full shot of a figure being tipped up from inside the box on a small platform. The figure is a large robot, maybe 8 feet tall. It's a simple looking machine, humanoid, but enormous. It looks scarred and worn from a battle or years of neglect. Ellen, Pollux and Castor can be seen off to one side.
Guard (off panel) - Station 1, cleared for personnel.
P4 - Ellen's hand reaches to the controls and presses a button.
P5 - The robot's eyes light up.
Page 7
P1 - Ellen is now facing the robot, she's a little more than half the robot's height.
Ellen - Robot designate ES-10X. Under Article 10.15.03A of the Galactic Council Security Act, you are hereby remanded to the GC Rehabilitation Facility where you will undergo a full system reconfiguration. If you make any attempts to escape, you will be permanently deactivated. Would you like to make a statement?
P2 - Shot of Essex's head, no text.
P3 - Same shot
Essex - I have no choice but to comply.
P4 - Looking down at Ellen from the robot's shoulder
Ellen - So noted. Essex, I ask this every time a robot passes through here, which is not very often lately. You comply to the Act, why fight us in the first place?
P5 - Essex, head dropping slightly
Essex - Your memories are short.
P6 - Ellen turning away, looking saddened.
Ellen - Take it to processing.
Pollux (whispering to Castor) - Why do they always say that?
===================
There's more, just wanted to see how the first pages worked out on timing and wording.
Crits appreciated.
