Well, teaser, really... Dunno about that tagline either, but my interest is at least tweaked. The "Behind the Scenes" footage is interesting as well.

:D

might be cool. Not sure what the story is but I hope there is a human element to it.

dfbovey there is a human element to it, but from what i could gather, the predator suit looks bad, kinda heaply made, ALSO i actually like the tagline

wow i know that they've been talking about this for years but i had no idea that it'd gone into production yet. most excellent

i'm interested to see what Paul Anderson can do with this. i've liked some of his movies alot (MK, event horizon) but really disliked some others (RE, soldier).

let's hope this one falls into the really cool category

Why do I have an unnerving suspicion that this doesn't take place in the future? I mean...it can't take place in the present because they didn't know about the Aliens in "Alien", but that Earth stuff didn't look very futurey...

Minor spoilers, based on Paul Anderson's screenplay:

It takes place in the present. Supposedly the Predators built the pyramids and housed aliens in them and as a coming of age thing, they go out and hunt 'em. Weyland (as in Weyland-Utani from the Alien movies I guess) finds a pyramid in Antarctica, digs it up and so then lots of aliens and people run around shooting each other for a few hours. It's got Lance Henrickson in it. Don't know if he'll tie in to his Bishop character or what.

And maybe the company DOES know about the aliens before Alien. It would make sense in a way.

Beh. I guess it could make sense. Anyway, I'll be there for the bloodshed. Who cares about plots in monster movies anyways?

all I want to see is Predators and Aliens killing each other!

But hopefully they wont downplay the power of one Alien, and have the Predators kill dozens at a time.

I'd have to agree. In a movie titled Alien vs Predator, that's all I'm really looking for... a knock down drag out bloodbath.

Any of you guys read the AvP books? I read 'em all back in the day, I loved 'em.

I read em. I guess it was about the same idea...minus earth..and the humans invovled.

I'm VERY curious on how this is going to turn out...

I'm not too happy about the director OR the script... but let's just wait and see what they're gonna do with it.

I still don't understand what was wrong with using the first AvP comic from Dark Horse as a basis for a comic. That story had everything that a good AvP movie needed.

This flick will be good - if not very good- if it has the vibes of Alien I/II and Predator I.

Predator II sucked so much ass, it isn't even fun no more.
