I'm not sure if anyones posted this link yet, but as soon as I found it, I had to post it.
It includes inkers such as John Byrne, Mike Manley, Walter Simonson, and our very own Robin Riggs.

I'm pretty sure someone must have linked to it by now, Eddie, it's been up there a long while. Still it never hurts to have another pointer. I'm sure Larry will appreciate some more people being directed his way.

Wow, cool site, Eddie. It's always cool to hear what pros do to acheive certain effects or styles. By the way, Robin, I picked up The First #34 last week, and you did an awesome job with the inks.....I'm not too sure what pages you did, since there were other inkers, but it was awesome nontheless. I know that you know what you're talking about.

I know. It's so cool walking into a comic book store, picking out books, and telling the clerk "See this book? The inker replies to my comments! I know someone in the bizness! (sort of...I've never met the dude, but still.)"
But they allways shrug their shoulders and pretend to not care, but I don't buy it.

Larry Dempsey is the inker's champion on the net. Great guy who runs a definitive resource site.
Isn't The First #34 the one you have yet to be paid for, Robin? Or have they finally paid you?

Nothing complicated. I did the first seven pages before they fired me because they didn't like what I was doing. The cover for the next issue that they previewed after the story was inked by me too. Glad you liked it.

That's the one. No they haven't paid me yet. It's now 134 days since they received the cover and 97 days since they received my final pages. I'm far from alone in this. By Alessi's own words there are around 40 freelancers that have been stiffed. They are also holding people's art returns so they can't get any additional money from selling pages. It's a very sad situation all round.

Sad, sad situation. I finally enjoyed one CGE title (El Cazador) but I've never liked any of their other stuff (well, the first issues of Sojourn and Ruse were pretty good, but not enough to keep me on those titles). I definitely can't support a company that manages their finances poorly and abuses and lies to the people that actually put out their product.

Thta's really sad. They will be at the same show I am a guest at Las Vegas Comic Con and I was going to approach them. This makes me think twice about that, Good luck Robyn and see you in Nov at Mid-Ohio Con.
