I just got a hair up my butt and decided I'd like to start drawing from scripts. Don't ask why, I'm sure TFF will tell you my anatomy still needs work, but I'm kind dying over here drawing pinup after pinup.
Anyway, I hear a lot of about people drawing pages from a Wolverine script or Spiderman script or something. Are they actually finding scripts online? Are they coming through Marvel or Wizard or what? Where would I find a script, say from a book that's already done, but I may not have seen?
Thanks.

Also most comic company sites have sample scripts like
Darkhorse's Ghost sample pages (http://www.darkhorse.com/help/submissions/index.html)
I wanna do some of these too, but Im gonna wait til I get my drawing table in October.

Well, reason I asked, kind of back handed really. The news of Milx on Surfer really got me thinking, "Hey, they probably are going to replace him if his second chance cards are all used up. Might as well submit something on the off chance they want someone who's art really sucks. Plus I like Surfer and I need practice."
Think I could contact marvel for a sample Surfer script?

You mean having them get one of their writers to write an exclusive sample script just for you?
I dont think they would be so generous, but maybe if you send them samples of something else and they're impressed enough they my give you a shot at surfer script to see how you do. But really, I think asking for a specific script and receiving it is kind of a long shot.
Ofcourse theres nothing with trying it anyways. You may luck out they may already have one. Good luck anyways with whatever you decide on.
