I know this isn't where you are supposed to post questions but I wasn't getting any reponses over in the tip and tech section. I thought I'd try posting it here.

Anyone know where to download some good brushes for PS 7. Or a good way to create your own. I know how to create my own, I was just wondering if there are specific settings that you guys like to use to create the different looks you're after (painty, cuts, etc).

Thanks in advance

Ya try to get away, but we just keep draggin' ya back...

I only recently got into v.7 myself, so I'm still learning the new brush settings.

...the best answers aren't always the easiest. If you want new brushes that bad, you'll figure out their complicated index.

i don't understand all the hub-ub about downloading brushes.

even in painter 8, which has a butload of options (more dare I say than PS?) I just fiddle till I get what I like.

the brush packs I have seen so far have been esoteric at best, hardly too difficult to understand and replicate.

try experimenting.

Can anyone tell me how to create my own brushes for PS 7? The last time I made a custom brush was for PS 5 when it was new. Needless to say it's been a long time and I've forgotten.

Any help is appreciated.

this guy has some nice brushes for PS7 suitable for comic art
http://www.pensnpixels.com/tutorials/flatting.htm

also, PS comes with a ton of brushes, but they're not all loaded by default... to load them up, start photoshop, click the Brush tool, then on the top info line, click the down arrow beside the brush size (just like you were changing the size of the brush)... then click the little right-pointing arrow on the top right... you can load different brush sets from there... always choose 'Append' so you can also keep the brushes you have visible now...
