Try to look at faces and copy them, photos from magazines, or even faces drawn by your favorite artists.
The face has some proportions, and I could recite them all now, but the basics are:
- The centerline of the circle (if you start with a circle and draw a
chin beneath it) marks the eyes.
- The eyes are on eye-length apart.
- The line at the bottom of the circle marks the nose.
- Halfway between the bottom of the nose and the bottom of the
goes the mouth.
Hope that helps?

yeah i know the basics and all, thanx. i need something that gives me INTERESTING figures. A style which looks cool. my figures all look old or saggy people. i need young fresh faces. I know the less lines in the face, the better. but it never seems to work with me. any tips ?

i know what you mean i could recite all the rules how to draw all the expression etc but when i actually pick up my pencil and start, i go blank, i just can't make it happen. i have litterally tons of pictures where i screwed up the face so i just went and started anew.
only tip i can give you is keep on practicing and from one moment to the next something will finally click and you'll get it. however for the time being just start every drawing with teh head if it looks decent then carry, if it doesn't look decent then leave it be and move on the next piece

Draw male and female faces , front, profile and ¾ view the best you can, so we can see what you are having trouble with.

One thing that helps me a lot when drawing faces is to look at the drawing in the mirror when you're finished. All the mistakes you've made will just pop out at you and you'll see how much you really suck! (yeah, it's depressing. . .)
