I suggested to Ven the possibility of a story round where someone begins the story and someone else writes the next bit and another person another bit. well, you get the picture hehe.

Is everyone keen on this?

Gosh, we havent got that far yet LOL I (or Ven and I or whoever) will figure out any "rules" govering the story round.

And one of the votes is me! I'm all about it! Might take my mind off the writers block I have on my own story. :(

This is my first time posting at Pencil Jack - although I've been viewing the site regularly for several months ( mainly to check out my friend Sam Spade's work).

A story in the round sounds good. I'm hoping it kicks my own stalled projects into gear. Can't wait to see the premise you come up with.

Ok.. this is what I was thinking for the 'story round'.

I think if we fix the characters, environment and a bit of background before beginning the story, that might be worthwhile. Story will be in prose form most likely. we can try converting to a script later on as another exercise perhaps? I was thinking of limiting the "size" or "volume" of what someone wld write. I think by the number of words perhaps. That's good training for writing under constraints.

any other suggestions for the 'rules'?

I want in on this, but I'm unsure what is going on as far as you've given a background and set it to 1000 words. Are we each then picking a section of the story or just writing something?

cool, xadrian.

well, someone starts a segment and then someone else continues the story, then someone else etc. Basically I gave the background etc. The rest is up to you :D

does that makes more sense now?
