Hi all,
I just finished the pencils on my page for the Conan art jam. Let me know what you think:

There's a high-res version here (http://www.cuddlyfamily.com/don/gallery/conan_pg06_pencils_hires.jpg).

where was that thing hiding, so that he wouldn't see it? ;)
nice, crisp and clean, gj
panel 2 is pimp
arms look a little wonky in the first panel but that's really minor, nice work

Don, your art is improving a lot! Nice page! the storytelling is clear and the art is very nice (Classic Conan rules!) I can see a bit of Gil Kane influence in the panel 2...maybe I'm wrong but the hand and the expression reminds me Kane work!

That looks really good, Cuddly. Lots of cool details scattered throughout. Your attention to texture is outstanding in this one as well.
I really only have a couple of nitpicks... Conan's right leg in the first panel is very awkward. It may just be the angle of his foot, but he just looks a little too off-balance. The other thing is how he's holding the sword. As it is, if he swung it he would be hitting things with the flat of the blade. The blade should be lined up more with the front of his fist.
Otherwise, I really like it. Very professional looking.

Amazingly awesome. Don't change a thing.
But... (impending nitpick) panel 1 and 2 conan is heading towards the left of the frame.
Panel 3 he's facing the opposite direction. A little bit of a jump cut. But that's all. No complaints other than that.
Superb job!!!

Hi all,
thanks for the crits and comments!
dillinger - thank ye! The Conan art jam's shaping up to be quite a cool thing. Pop by the Projects forum to check out the new pages. Almost all the pencillers have sent in their pages and there's some outstanding art to behold.
negative - heheh - yeah, you have a point. I should've made it look like the monster was emerging from the shadows a bit more. Is "pimp" a good thing? :D
Caimano - thanks for the kind words! Gil Kane, huh? Praise indeed.
caanan02 - Thanks!
Saturn Lad - He's supposed to be drawing a sword from the scabbard of a corpse in Panel 1. It was a tough one to pull off. Not sure I quite nailed it.
EddieChingLives - thanks for the feedback!
Take care,
-Don-
