View Full Version : Do Me A Favour

Recently I have noticed in order to see some of the colouring jobs done by WarLocKsS, Seed and the like I have had to lighten them up to see all the detail. I was wondering whether this is a problem with their colours being too dark or my monitor being too dark.

If it is the latter then the work I post will more than likely be far too light.

So to help me out in the poll above could you tell me which of them looks best so I can adjust gamma levels before I post work.

Hmm.. I think a link to the origninal, non-gamma altered pic would be handy so we could guage it against our own settings... I liked the middle one, though.

Sorry I should have said, the first pic is the unalterered one.

It has the nicest contrast, as far as I can see.

Man, adjusting monitors sucks big butt, too... it's very difficult to be certain if you've gotten it just right, even with the test images that the internal diagnositcs provide for you.

Number 1 is pretty light and number two is the best. Number three is just wrong. I've never heard of anyone going number three.

With 80% I think I have my answer... 0.75 Gamma it is.

Thanks all.
