they are really fast and kinda manga-ish But anyways. I like the face in the upper right... the one in the upper left looks kinda funky and the lower left... should be dissed on and pissed on. The one in the middle shows a lot of character in just the face and the one in the lower right looks kinda cool. I think. Anyways tell me what kind of parts of the faces you DO like and DO NOT like. I wanna maybe put them together as one.. im thinking on keeping the face concept in the upper right as some tough guy.. Anyways keep the c&c flowin!

yeah, these are kinda manga-ish arent they. thats cool. but it makes the correct structure a little less essential. that doesnt mean that they dont work, because they do. i think on the upper right one that the features are sliding a bit to the right (his left) as they get lower. i am not sure if that was supposed to be part of the expression or not. i would like to see you draw the same character's head 5 times. with faces it is necessary to make the character look like that character. you have some good expressions here, which can be a tough thing to do, but can you make the same face make different expressions and make it still look like the same person's face? it can be tough. give it a try. it is also a good way to develope the psychology of a character. when they get mad to they snarl or get all wide eyed and steely jawed? when they laugh, do they throw back their head and howl, or do they look down at their feet and stifle it? is this the type of character that will ever have a sad face, or is he such a villain that he would never show remorse? as an example, a sheet of head studies and expression drawings of night crawler would look way different than a sheet of apocalypse's or even gambit's expressions. get my meaning? that's a lot to get into with only face studies, but you have already started to do so by making personality notes next to the head. pick one and dig deeper. ;cap;

I like them. I think it is an interesting style and while it borders on manga *shudder* it still works :) My favorite is the "action seeking kid" The only crit I have is the "so-so" one, the top of his head looks really bubblish for some reason... I don't know why it is probably just me.

I suck at faces and i was trying to generate something that looked interesting.. and i got two heads out of this that im starting to like. the one in the upper right and the lower right. i had to find a face i like first :D
