Hi all,

a friend asked me this and I have no idea. How do I print color seps from Photoshop or Illustrator? Meaning given a color picture, how would I get 4 separate cyan, magenta, yellow and black printouts? Can I print each channel separately?

In photoshop, select [Print with Preview].

If the [Show More Options] box is not selected, select it. Then you will se a popup menu with two options. [Output] and [Color Management]. Select [Color Management] and you will see a [Profile] popup. In that popup, select [Separations].

You will probably also want to go to the [Output] menu and turn on the following options.

[Registration Marks] so you will have something to align the color separations
[Corner Crop Marks] Not necessary, but helpful
[Labels] so that PS will print the name of the color on each separation.

Then just send it to the printer.

Hope this helps.
