View Full Version : Is this true? (A story kinda like the whole Star Wars Kid lawsuit)

I heard somewhere that this man from who knows where went to a JC Penney and bought a Nike shirt for his son. The shirt was supposed to say "Nike: Est. 1968" or whatever the date was, but it instead said "Nike: Est. 2068." Apparently the kid was harrased by bullies at his school, and became a real mental case, so the dad decided to sue Nike for printing the faulty shirt, JC Penney for selling the faulty shirt, the parents of the bullies for making fun of his kid, and the school for allowing this harrasment to occur. And apparently, if he wins all the cases, he'll make approximately $68 million.
So, is this story true? I heard it from 2 sources, both people I know who wouldn't really talk to each other, and I just wanna find out if there's any truth to this story.

Anyway, its sounds like bull. Too many lawsuits going on for such a stupid thing. I dunno... www.snopes.com is good for urban myth quelling.

Just another case that if it were true, would never make it to an actual trial.

This is partly why I hate America true or not. Little brats can bitch about a botched T-shirt but not bitch about how Nike slaves people around in other countries. Our own personal Metropolis.
