So whats everybody think? Is he innocent or guilty? I think he's innocent 1)because the girl has a rep. for tyring to get attention and 2)just doesn't make sense, his wife is f-i-n-e!!!! Incase anybody has been wondering what his accuser looks like, here pics are at this site: Kobe's Accuser (http://www.webrats.com/kobewatch/)

That has little or nothing to do with this at all. Time and time again this same situation has come up under similar circumstances (Liz Hurley and her husband). I think it goes a little beyond the looks of the accused's wife.

he's already admited that he had sex with her didnt he? so whats the point. his wife should take half his $$ and walk.. unless she was an idiot and signed a pre nup or something.

either way who cares.. hes just another punk b ball player who likes to sleep around on the road. (or where ever he is)

I'm already sick of hearing about this.
Hopefully the judge won't allow cameras at the trial. If he does this crap is going to be on every channel, even moreso than it is now.

Dang celebrities and their tribulations...

yup.... he admitted to it ... regardless of whether it was forced or not (though its hard to believe having thousands of girls throwing themselves at you and you go and force yourself on one who doesnt?? but then again people are stupid....) the fact remains he cheated on his wife and everyone knows it... so i say she gets ta steppin pack her stuff take half his crap and come move in with me ... er, but dont tell my wife.

...o...k....

Kobe's wife is just doing a Hillary Clinton, pretending everything is okay today and planning to destroy the world tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I think Kobe's innocent.

Who cares? BOTH women are hot, so what? The temptation is still there, I guess.

In the end, if he DID rape her, he should do time like everyone else that does that sorta thing. If not, a BIG apology is expected. End of story, period.

... So much for Kobe being the next Jordan, huh? This can't be lived down, unfortunately.

You guys ought to know that physicality has nothing to do with whether someone cheats or not -- it's about whether they have enough control to cheat or not. Not happy in your marriage? Get divorced, and then go have sex with whoever. Can't control your wandering desires? Don't get married.

Either way, the case is about a rape or lack thereof, not cheating.

I know this isn't possible in our media frenzied society anymore, but I really feel like the identities of both parties ought to be kept secret until the case is taken to trial and tried. I think it's awful that this girl's face and name is being posted all over the internet. And since it's been argued that if Kobe's identity is revealed, then so should her's be revealed -- well then, I wish his identity had been kept secret till he was found guilty or not. I don't think he should have to explain himself to the public period, at least until he's tried and given a sentence. Same with the accuser. This stuff should be happening in the court, and the court alone.

I'm getting tired of this case too. There's something very silly about our country when this story makes it to the top of the nighty newscast, over the war, WMD's, and other international troubles. Who the heck cares? I myself have never held a sports player on a pedastool and I never will.

*end rant* heh.

i get the feeling this probably isn't the first time he's had an affair do to the fact its so common with celebrities.... but i think this time he ran into a psycho most likely... the news said the girl over dosed after finding out her highschool boyfriend cheated on her... so who's to say that she just didn't get pissed off when she found out kobe was just a one night stand? personally i think he's an idiot for doing it, b/c who sleeps with somebody they know for less then a few hours?! but i hardly think he raped her...

I agree, but I also know that with Bryant, at least, it would be impossible... the man is too much in the media spotlight even when he's not being tried for rape, so it's not very realistic to expect that he could be arrested, arraigned, tried and convicted or cleared without anyone noticing or making a statement about it.

Now, if the media had any actual sense of judgement in these cases, they'd at least try to downplay it and keep it to a few short statements concerning the situation before they move on to actual events that make a difference to normal people, but then they'd lose the almighty ratings to another "news" program that's willing to wallow in the dirt in order to feed our desire to gossip over the proverbial back fence.

This is why television news is crap. All the stations are more concerened with garnering viewers than they are with creating content, so they talk about whatever crap is the most sensationalist at the current moment.
