View Full Version : Introducing Mrs. Lee...
07-20-2003, 04:06 PM
Hi, all! Just thought I'd let you know I'm here. :)
I'm Carolyn, aka Mrs. Bruce Lee (Loston). For months I've heard him rave about Penciljack, and I've gotten to meet several PJ members at conventions...long story short, I finally joined!
If you're wondering about the handle, it comes from my initials, C-M-W. (That, and the fact that I couldn't think of anything really cool and nifty to use.)
My comic interests lean toward writing, coloring, and 3D computer modeling. I used to do a little pencilling until I realized I was never going to be as good as Loston. :p Not wanting to settle for being second best, I went into computers instead. (Where I can still beat him all to pieces!) ;dvl;
I have one official industry credit; I was a production assistant on "Cavewoman: Klyde & Meriem;" I did typesetting and production page layout.
And that's my story, pretty much. I'm looking forward to reading all the previous posts and working on some script ideas.
Nice to "meet" you all! If you'd like to see examples of my writing and artwork, please check out my website - the address should be in my signature below.

Welcome to The Writers' Desk I'll be your host...
Forgive me, I'm not used to being the "FIRST" greeter here because Banshee usually beats everyone to that. But anyway... happy to have you joining us. The desk is a little less active than the drawing forums :D but we have some interesting things going on.
SOON (I've been promising that for a long time) we will have the PJU (Penciljack Universe) #0 up and then we will officially kick off the PJU projects. That could prove to be a lot of fun. Part of the delay is brining in a new EIC to replace another who's life responsibilities have just gotten to be too much with the added presure of the PJU. So, our new EIC is finishing up the writing details of what's left of the #0 and after a bit of editing, we'll kick the whole thing off.
For now, there are several bits of writing laying about for reading and, if you're feeling plucky, critiquing.

I don't have any comic scripts to show (yet!), although I have helped Loston a little with the Conan script he and CWMax worked up for PJ Projects. :)
As for the critiquing, I'll warn you now - I used to be an English teacher! ;dvl;

Didn't your son get a great deal on one of Loston's prints? ;)
(For those of you who weren't there, we had a special on prints: $15 or your age, whichever was lower. Two year olds made out like BANDITS!) :D

yup.... daniel got a killer deal on that batman print....woot.... hows loston doing?
p.s. can you find out where he got that cool eraser from again ... he told me but i cant remember ?

The electric eraser can be found at Office Max, in the drafting section, I believe. :)
Loston's doing well. He's been working with CWMax on writing a Conan script that was finally finished over the weekend. Then August 1,2, 3 he's going to be an artist guest at Tri-Noc Con 2003. It's a sci-fi con in Durham, which means we get to sleep in our own beds at night!
And please tell Daniel and your wife I said hi! :D
