"John 3:16--(paraphrased) A Dad had a Son who had a whole bunch of lost friends. His love was so great that He told His Son He had to give His life for for them so they would be able to live in un-imaginable Love. So he did!"

First off, it's very good. You've definitely established a way to tell a story.

My only gripe is in panel 7, the nailing of his hand, his arm is foreshortened, and it's pretty good, but the cross isn't, it's merely angled. For a moment it fools the eye and at first I thought the whole panel was just his hand, I didn't realize it was his whole upper body. The verticle of the cross is also a bit thick, that probably adds to the dimension and foreshortening issue.

That is a minute item, don't let it detract from the piece. Panel 3 and 5 are amazing.

This is one of the most dynamic things I've seen yet. The only thing that weirds me is how built J.C. is. But he quite well could have been, just never tought of him like that. Panel 3 is my favorite.

WOW! I am totally astonished! This is some of your best work to date caanan, although it'd be nice to see those funny lines that make a panel instead of the numbers....you could actually do without the numbers and it would still make sense.
I am going to have to send you a copy of my Revelation comic book when I finish it (it is my senior project, so it'll be done in 2 years, and that is how long it'll probably take since I am digitally coloring the whole thing and it is about 80 pages).
Nice work....beautiful....belongs in a gallery caanan.

I think he had to have been, considering the punishment he endured. Most medical types that have examined the scriptures are amazed he was able to live long enough to get to the crucifiction part. He took a lot more punishment than the average murderer would at the time.

That's a powerful sequence, even if one didn't know what was going on...but to a Christian, I mean a True Believer who knows that he owes his eternal life to Jesus—it's got a whole other level of intensity. One can't help but whisper "thank you"

This is a line from a song someone wrote..."I stand here, before You, in wiiiide o-pen wonnnder, amazed...at the Glorrrry of You. Your powwwer from hea-ven, reveallling Your pur-pose in me,...as I'm rea-ching for Yoooou..." this is my hearts cry. :)

Nice job Michaelangelo! You should do all the stations of the cross and show it to the priest at your church, I'm sure he'd flip!

The only critiques I have are that in panel 1 his left arm's bent oddly. For some reason it doesn't really bother me, but I just thought I'd point it out.
One thing that does bother me though, is the foreshortening in the panel where's he's being nailed down. The hand just seems to big for the rest of the body.

And as for Jesus' physique, we're Amercans (some of us anyway) living in the age of high speed internet, Mc Donalds and Ford Expeditions, this guy ate fish and walked everywhere, so maybe it's not him who's in shape, but us who're out of shape?

I've got a question about your technique Canaan-- did you just draw it in pencil and change the color balance in photshop? I've done some drawing like that and they turn out well, but I hadn't tried it with anything sequencial yet. If that's what you did it may be something I'll start thinking about.

Good work man, keep it up.
