Quick cool background in 6 easy steps:
1
Step one, create a new layer and name it gradient.

Fill the gradient layer with a gradient of any color fading into WHITE.

Double click on the gradient layer and change the blend mode from normal to darken.

Add noise.

Fill the background layer in any color that will compliment the color. Make sure it's a solid fill, and not a gradient.

Slide the opacity of the gradient layer down until satisfied. I like around 40-50 percent.
