First time posting in the Sketchbook!

A Thor head sketch that came out of last week's Critical Mass assignment. I reckon the shoulders need to be a bit broader. Also, he's looking a bit grim and the face looks a tad over-rendered, but I was under a Bart Sears influence for about a day after reading The Path #1 and the picture came out looking like this. :D

I wouldn't say over rendered, I would say geezer looking. I know he's probably really old, but don't make him LOOK old.

Good work on the hatching, watch the helmet shape.

Hey Cuddly, That is a nice scetch of The Thunder God. He is another one of my favorites characters. The funny thing is that I drew him for my year book cover in junior high. Keep representing.

xadrian - well, the reason I think he looks old to you is because of all the unnecessary lines I put on his face, i.e. over-rendering the face. I gotta learn to back off on that and get cleaner lines going. Thanks for looking at it. :)

whytboy - glad you liked it, dude. Any chance we'll get to see a scan of that year book cover?
