The poses look a little stiff, probably mostly because the legs aren't bent at all. Especially the right guy would probably be more excited and all.
If you took a sketch like this and just spotted some blacks and showed hints of the background or just some shadows that separated the figures from the background, then it would look much more lively. Just a tip.
I'm not saying it looks bad, I just hope to be helping.
