Hey guys, Irish Artist (21) new to the group. Marvel editor C.B. Cebulski, has asked to see some more of my stuff ,so fingers crossed! Have some random early work in the comic art folder at the link below. Sorry that pages are split in half but i'm total technological retard and don't know how to work the damn thing. Promise to post some of my later stuff asap.

welcome irish guy, here's german guy!
first thing: to make it easier to follow your seq art, pleeeeease, after scanning it in two parts put it together again and save your pages as one file again. it's hard to follow your panels.
i like your seqs very much, good rendering, good backgrounds, amazing details. maybe your face expressions need some re-work, but it's just my opinion. and by the way: your witchblade page looks perfect! post more of that!
good luck with your submission! what exactly did you showed to cebulski?

Cheers buddy,
That stuff is some early stuff. I showed Mr. Cebulski a 3page Punisher/Daredevil, a 3 page 100 bullets, a 3 page Superman and that Judge dredd Story in its complete form.
Cos I'm in Ireland I can't really get to conventions so I've sent some stuff to Geoff Johns, Mark Waid, Darick Robertson and a few editors. The feedback has been good so I'm gonna keep at it. I haven't drawn for about 4 years and just picked up the pencils again after getting my law degree and it kinda reawakened my love of the medium.
I just finished a 3 page transmet story which is my best stuff to date so hopefully I'll post it up to see what you guys think.
Thanks for the tip on the scanner I'll give it a go.

can u post it?
if you have photoshop i can give you some tips how to scan 17*11 pages and post them directly to PJ. but photoshop is a must-have...
Hey, mysterious irish guy, never thought I'd see a Judge Dredd sequential here! Your drawings look good (as good as some of the stuff in 2000AD), but you really will need to reduce them as I can't see anything else and so can't comment on them.
Can you ink? Best of luck...

yeah, i'm teaching myself how to ink at the mo' but my skills are pretty crude. I'm going to the convention in Bristol UK next week, my first, so i'm hoping i might be able to make some headway there.
I'm also awaiting replies from avatar, crossgen, cb cebulski at marvel, ait/planetlar and mark waid so fingers crossed there too but i ain't holdin my breath.;cap; ;cap;
Bristol wont have too many editors so dont get your hopes up too much, a few from DC, 2000AD and the bloke from Avatar will be there. It's hard work then trying to find them and to get a chance to speak to them, hope it works out for you, i'm looking forward to Bristol too.
Kris.

Beautiful stuff Irish! I can't speak technically about what makes good panel structure and the like but I can tell you that I'd buy a book that featured your art. I like your use of shadows.
I hope to see some more man.
later, Stitch

Hey there, Irish guy!
Very cool stuff. CB is a very nice guy, I've shown him stuff myself (I'm an inker, primarily). A friend from my Kubert school days is working for him inking Runaways at the moment.
F.Y.I., though (and this goes out to anyone reading this thread, really), it seems like lately Marvel is scouting new talent through their Epic submissions - I'm friendly with a few editors up there and that's the impression I get around the office. You can get info on that at www.marvel.com/epic

Thanks for the kind words everybody!
Yeah KMC I've shown my stuff to Stephanie Moore, the Epic editor actually and she really liked them, if that translates into a job though, is another thing but we'll see.
As for 2000ad Krosis, I showed them my stuff at a UK convention in May and while they liked it, they want to see how good I am inking before giving me a gig! So when I actually get round inking my samples maybe I'm might get something!

Hi Irish guy, this is Caimano from Italy! Good work there, but you please improve your technology level because it's a pity see art like this posted ina such bad way;)
I know several people from Kinsale, because they work for the same company I do.

You can create a team with a good inker too! In this way having already good pencils your chance to be hired rise up:D

Not bad pages you got. 2000ad asked you to ink some pages....i thought they prefered individual pencillers / inkers these days? If not, thats cool, cuz my pencils allways look so scrappy!:D Let us know when we can see some published work from ya.;)
