preserved but transparant.

I followed the orders in the topic preserve yor inks, but when I copy the lineart onto a new layer, and trow away the background. The whole thing turns transparant, while all the indicators say it is 100% filled whit black. Howcome that I can look right trough it? I don't know maybe it does not matter,maybe I've got a crap version of photoshop or is there actually a reason for? And if so; how can i prevent it from happening?


I'm not that much of a photshopper, but I'm trying .

Remember, you need to create a selection based on the Black alpha channel before you create the new Layer and fill the selection.

You can always opt to hide your Background instead of deleting it, as well...
