Hey guys, this is my first post here. I just wanted to show you a 4-page story I submitted to SPX about my character Orath the Intergalactic Caveman. This isn't the first story with him, so there's not much of an introduction.
Also, there are a few typos that I need to fix, but I'll get around to that later.
Anyway, let me know what you think.

your shoulder and arm anatomy needs some work, but storytelling and face expressions are superb. and if it's your story, i enjoy your kind of humor. so post more soon!

I'm suprised you haven't gotten more responses here. These are great. Great establishment shots. Great story. Great backgrounds. Your figure work could be a bit more consistante in the first page, but the other pages are on target and are wonderfully paced, written, and inked. Great stuff, Reilly.

Thanks a lot, but just out of curiosity, what is wrong with my shoulder and arm anatomy? I've heard that before, but no ones ever told me where the problem is exactly. I look at anatomy books and stuff. . .

Anyway, if you guys want to see more of my stuff, check out the sequential page of my website: www.oddgodpress.com/reillybrown

I'm going to put in my one cents about the shoulder and arm, because I think I see what he means.

Page 1, panel 2 - Orath's shoulder seems to merge right into his bicep with no real muscle seperation.

Page 3, panel 7 - The shoulder/bicep area again seem a little under-defined (as opposed to a nicely done shoulder and bicep on panel 2 of the same page.) Also, the wrist and hand in this panel seem a bit too short. By looking at other panels on these four pages, its obvious you DO know how to draw the arm - it just seems that in certain instances, your arm and hand anatomy are a little off.

I just mentioned to clarify what I think tomek was getting at. The storytelling is excellent, and this is a really, really nice read. I'm browsing your site as we speak, and liking what I see. Keep it up.

I absolutly love it! I'm really looking forward to more. Your other artwork is fabulous. What school do you go to?

Thanks for the input Fulgore. Arms are tough to draw because every time they twist or bend the muscles all bulge in different ways. I guess I have to keep practicing.

Brykken; I'm about to graduate from the Communication Arts College of Virginia Commonwealth University. That's why I's gots to start learning to draw stuff good, so's that I can get me a job.
